Celebrating a degree and so much more 🎓

Before commencement, graduates, staff, family members, and friends gathered for a special brunch filled with stories, laughter, and gratitude as they reflected on the journey that led to this milestone.

Moments like these remind us that formation doesn't happen alone. It happens in community, through encouragement, coaching, meaningful conversations, and relationships that last long after graduation day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special, and congratulations once again to our graduates. We're excited to see where God leads you next.

Today, we pause to reflect on Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the enduring pursuit of freedom.

Juneteenth invites us to remember that freedom is not only a historical milestone but an ongoing calling. It asks us to honor the resilience, faith, and contributions of Black communities while continuing the work of building a more just and equitable world.

As people of faith, we recognize that true freedom is rooted in the dignity and worth of every person. May this day be an opportunity to learn, reflect, celebrate, and recommit ourselves to creating communities where all people can flourish.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride is more than a month.

At Ministry Leadership Center, belonging is one of our core values, not something we celebrate for a few weeks each year, but something we strive to embody every day.

Pride Month is an invitation to reflect on how we show up for our LGBTQIA+ siblings and neighbors: with compassion, understanding, and a commitment to creating spaces where people can be fully themselves.

Belonging doesn't begin and end inside a house of worship. It extends into our workplaces, schools, communities, grocery stores, shopping centers, public bathrooms, and every space we inhabit. It's reflected in how we communicate, how we approach the world, and how we choose to treat one another each day.

It's also reflected in what we model for the next generation. When we lead with compassion, listen with understanding, and create room for people to be authentically themselves, we teach our children how to cultivate belonging for others, too.
This month, and every month, may we be people who create space, extend grace, advocate for those whose voices are not always heard, and cultivate belonging wherever we go.

Because everyone deserves the freedom to be fully themselves.

What if one of the most strategic decisions you make this week is how you spend your time?

Many senior ministry leaders find themselves trapped in a cycle of reacting to urgent needs, managing competing demands, and trying to keep pace with ever-growing expectations. But sustainable leadership requires more than simply getting through the week.

In our latest article, we explore the concept of a "rhythmic week"—an intentional framework for organizing your time around not only ministry responsibilities, but also Sabbath, family, and strategic reflection.

Because thriving ministries are often led by leaders who create space to rise above the urgent, discern God's direction, and lead with greater clarity and purpose.

What if the most exhausting parts of ministry are the ones we've come to accept as normal?

Unclear expectations. Expanding responsibilities. Workloads that keep growing without clear conversations about priorities, support, or sustainability.

In this new article, we explore three common red flags in ministry culture that often point to a deeper issue: a lack of clarity. When unhealthy patterns become normalized, leaders can begin to question themselves instead of the systems around them.

If you've ever wondered whether what you're experiencing is simply "part of ministry," this article is for you.
