We're wrapping up our journey through 2 Samuel with a powerful reminder: God's mercy is not an exception to His character—it's fundamental to who He is. When David sinned by taking a census, he didn't run from God's judgment. Instead, he ran TO God, declaring, "Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great" (2 Samuel 24:14).

Here's the stunning revelation: the place where David offered his costly sacrifice to stop a plague was the same Mount Moriah where Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac, and where Solomon would later build the temple. All of it pointed forward to another hill outside Jerusalem, where the ultimate Son of David would offer the ultimate sacrifice to stop the ultimate plague—sin itself.

The question is simple: Have you responded to Christ's sacrifice? The plague of sin is still raging, but God in His rich mercy has provided the remedy.

What a blessing!

Our recent Church Eat Church gathering at Concord Road was a tremendous success! We are grateful for the opportunity to share a meal, strengthen friendships, welcome new faces, and enjoy the fellowship that makes our church family so special. Moments like these remind us that the church is more than a place we attend—it's a family we belong to.

Thank you to everyone who helped prepare, serve, invite, and participate. We look forward to many more opportunities to grow closer together as we seek to glorify God, edify one another, and serve others.

We live in a world where our phones have become as essential as our Bibles—but are they shaping us more than Scripture is? This past Sunday, Jason Helton from Madison Church of Christ in Madison, AL challenged us to examine how technology impacts our faith, families, and focus on Christ.

From the generation gap in how we view screens to the spiritual dangers of constant scrolling, we explored what it means to live faithfully in the digital age. Romans 12:2 reminds us: "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." The question isn't whether technology is good or bad—it's whether we're controlling it or it's controlling us.

As Christians, we're called to be distinct. Jesus said they'll know we're His disciples by our love for one another—not by our screen time. Let's leverage technology for the gospel while guarding our hearts and homes from digital distraction. Are you using your phone to amplify Christ or replace Him?

Ever feel unworthy of God's love? The story of Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9 will transform how you see grace. This broken, crippled man—hiding in fear—was summoned by King David. Instead of judgment, he received everything: his grandfather's land, adoption into the royal family, and a permanent seat at the king's table.

Why? Not because he deserved it. Only because of Jonathan—David's beloved friend. Mephibosheth received extravagant blessings "for Jonathan's sake."

This is your story too. We're all spiritually broken and disfigured by sin. Yet God wants to adopt you into His family and pour out ridiculous blessings on you—not because you're qualified, but because of Jesus. Grace is absurd. Grace is extravagant. And grace is only found in belonging to Jesus's family.

Are you in His family? The invitation to the King's table is extended to you today.

Senior Spotlight!

Sarah Beth is the daughter of Keith and Elizabeth Welch and is currently a senior at Page High School. She was a member of the Page High School Dance Team during her sophomore and junior years. In addition to school dance, Sarah Beth has been dancing since she was three years old and was part of a competitive dance team for five years.

This year, she chose to take a break from dance to focus on work and fully enjoy her senior year. She currently serves as a coach at Let It Shine Gymnastics. She also enjoys babysitting and spending time with her friends.

Sarah Beth has been involved with the Concord Road youth group since 2019 and was baptized into Christ in 2022. She has enjoyed participating in EYC, C*C, the Kayenta Mission Trip in Arizona, church camp, and many other youth group activities.

After graduation, Sarah Beth plans to follow in her two older sisters’ footsteps by attending Mississippi State University, where she intends to major in Business Management.
She has been truly blessed by the members of Concord Road and has made many wonderful memories and meaningful friendships that will continue to shape and influence her future.
