So honored to have recorded and uploaded a video message to share with a church in Asia this coming Sunday. The title of my message was taken from Psalm 41:1

"Blessed is he who considers the poor;
The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble."

This church family has done so much to help people in their own city, and in the interior places of the island of Borneo. They have helped meet real needs, and have shared the message of the love of Christ.

In this sermon, I pose a question, "How many people do you have a relationship with, who can do nothing in return for you?"

Most relationships require that both parties contribute something to the relationship, but ministry to the poor is often done, knowing that these can do nothing in return. God values this, and God will reward this.

Jesus taught to do things for those who can do nothing in return for us.

Luke 14:12-14 (ESV)
12 He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.
13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,
14 and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.

Something I posted today. I hope it will challenge you and encourage you.

We're praying for America today. "God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble." - Psalm 46:1 (NIV)

Getting ready to speak at Every Nation Church, Penang next Sunday. It will be the 2nd day of Chinese New Year here. My text, Proverbs 10:22, "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it." Can't wait ... LOVE this church and our dear friends, Pastor Jonathan Lim and Mee Yok !

We'll examine the question - "What are the true riches in Christ?"

Ministry at Christmas in Asia.

It's an honor that International Missions was able to partner with the Christmas Outreach of churches and leaders in India and Myanmar.

Here is a photo of our friends, Pastor Sam and Beulah Easupatham (whose name means the feet of Jesus!), during their Christmas outreach.

In Myanmar, IMP helped the work of churches in Chin State, to reach out to remote tribal people.

Recent Ministry:

I returned last week from our adopted home town of Penang, Malaysia, on a brief trip, and I will return in January to work with several churches.

This will also be the time of Chinese New Year. Here (below) is a video I took a few years ago, during Chinese New Year in Borneo. 39 Thousand Firecrackers (watch it until the end!). Thanks to everyone who prays for us and sends us. It's all a great honor.
