Memory Verse for September
Philippians 4:13
" I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Scripture of the Day: Ezekiel 33:1-6
The word of the Lord came to me: O Mortal, speak to your people and say to them, If I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take one of their number as their sentinel; and if the sentinel sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people; then if any who hear the sound of the trumpet do not take warning, and the sword comes and takes them away, their blood shall be upon their own heads. They heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; their blood shall be upon themselves. But if they had taken warning, they would have saved their lives. But if the sentinel sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any of them, they are taken away in their iniquity, but their blood I will require at the sentinel’s hand.

Prayer of the Day
Merciful God, thank you for continuously fastening us to yourself. Grant us clarity as we navigate life’s complexities, seeking understanding that leads to your abundance. Let our hearts bear witness to your love, encouraging others who seek your heavenly embrace. Amen

Memory Verse for September
Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Scripture of the Day: Romans 10:15-17
As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” But not all have obeyed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” So, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

Prayer of the Day
Gracious Lord, we thank you for the gift of your Word Incarnate. You are the lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Lead us toward your love and grace in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Memory Verse for September: Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Scripture of the Day: Jeremiah 17:5-8
Thus says the Lord:
Cursed are those who trust in mere mortals
and make mere flesh their strength,
whose hearts turn away from the Lord.
They shall be like a shrub in the desert,
and shall not see when relief comes.
They shall live in the parched places of the wilderness,
in an uninhabited salt land.
Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit.

Prayer of the Day
God of comfort, we come before you with open hearts. As Jesus healed and cast out evil, we ask that you bring healing from anything that keeps us from you. Help us to recognize the work of your Spirit. Amen

Memory Verse for September: Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Scripture of the Day: Revelation 3:7, 10-12
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
These are the words of the holy one, the true one,
who has the key of David,
who opens and no one will shut,
who shuts and no one opens…
Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming soon; hold fast to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. If you conquer, I will make you a pillar in the temple of my God; you will never go out of it. I will write on you the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem that comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.

Prayer of the Day
O Love Divine, you’ve watched over us from the beginning as we navigate this unpredictable world. You open doors and cover us with your love. As we face challenges and trials, help us stand firm in our faith. Amen

Scripture of the Day: Psalm 17:6-9
I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God;
incline your ear to me, hear my words.
Wondrously show your steadfast love,
O savior of those who seek refuge
from their adversaries at your right hand.
Guard me as the apple of the eye;
hide me in the shadow of your wings,
from the wicked who despoil me,
my deadly enemies who surround me.

Prayer of the Day
God, you are the steadfast lover of our souls. It is our deepest desire to walk with you in an honest and faithful fashion. Guide us in your ways and hide us in the shadow of your wings.

Memory Verse for August
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Scripture of the Day: Matthew 16:21-23
From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and undergo great suffering at the hands of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This must never happen to you.” But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to me; for you are setting your mind not on divine things but on human things.”

Prayer of the Day
O God, we thank you for your Son, who chose the path of suffering for the sake of the world. Humble us by his example, point us to the path of obedience, and give us strength to follow your commands, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Scripture of the Day: Jeremiah 15:10-14
Woe is me, my mother, that you ever bore me, a man of strife and contention to the whole land! I have not lent, nor have I borrowed, yet all of them curse me. The Lord said: Surely, I have intervened in your life for good, surely I have imposed enemies on you in a time of trouble and in a time of distress. Can iron and bronze break iron from the north?
Your wealth and your treasures I will give as plunder, without price, for all your sins, throughout all your territory. I will make you serve your enemies in a land that you do not know, for in my anger a fire is kindled that shall burn forever.

Prayer of the Day
Patient God, you remain with us always. You listen to our complaints. Even when our praise turns to blame, you refuse to abandon us. Free us to bring all our anger, resentment, pain, and frustration to you.

Memory Verse for August
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Scripture of the Day: 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false, so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned.

Prayer of the Day
God of truth, your will for this world is life and salvation. Still, we fail to resist forces of death at work even in the church. Embolden your people to renounce sin and to live in love for our neighbors
