Join us this Wednesday at 1:00 PM to celebrate the final day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread—a high Sabbath day filled with a time of food, fellowship, and worship. The Feast began a week ago, immediately following Passover, and lasts seven days, culminating this Wednesday, April 8, at sundown. Throughout this week, God’s people honor specific dietary instructions by eating only unleavened bread: “Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a feast to the Lord. Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days; no leavened bread shall be seen with you, and no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory” -Exodus 13:6–7, ESV.
The Feast of Unleavened Bread carries a twofold significance. It powerfully commemorates the Israelites’ swift escape from Egypt by the hand of God, and for Christians, this feast represents a season of self-examination—a time to remove the "leaven" of sin and draw closer to Jesus, the true Bread of Life. Its enduring message is clear: our heavenly Father provides our daily bread, and His Son, Jesus, offers deliverance from sin and the gift of eternal life.
