We are thrilled to share that our vicar, Sharon Schwartz, will be graduating from Luther Seminary this afternoon at 3:00pm! This is a momentous occasion in her journey of faith and leadership, and while the ceremonies are taking place in St. Paul and Minneapolis, we invite you to join in the celebration virtually.

Christ Lutheran Road Trip to the Painted Churches of Texas!

What a beautiful day exploring the rich history, faith, and artistry of these stunning churches.

We visited:

⛪ Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in High Hill — the “Queen of the Painted Churches,” with its ornate faux-marble columns and angels.

⛪ St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption in Praha — featuring a brilliant blue vaulted ceiling dotted with gold stars and gorgeous floral stencils.

⛪ St. John the Baptist in Ammannsville — known for its beautiful pink-and-blue interior and hand-painted faux-marble pillars.

⛪ Saints Cyril and Methodius in Dubina — lovingly restored to its original 1912 beauty with celestial blue, star-filled ceilings.

The Painted Churches continue to tell the story of the communities who built them with love and hope.

Today we celebrate the joy of Carmen’s baptism and lift prayers and blessings over our Class of 2026 graduates!

We rejoice in God’s promises poured out through the waters of baptism and give thanks for each graduate stepping into a new season filled with hope, purpose, and possibility. May God guide their paths, strengthen their faith, and remind them always that they are deeply loved.
