Are you and your household prepared for the disasters that could impact Kitsap County?

On Saturday, October 3, Summit Outreach Services is partnering with the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management to host a free Emergency Preparedness workshop in our Fellowship Hall. We'll start with a pancake breakfast at 9 am. At 10, the Director of Kitsap County Emergency Management, Dave Rasmussen, will present a hands-on workshop on preparing for an emergency in your home and even here in the church.

This is a community event and we hope you will help us get the word out! There will be free giveaways like flashlights, first aid kits and gift cards. Plus drawings for prizes like a fireproof document box and a NOAA weather radio.

Church in the Park 2026!
What a beautiful day of worship, food, and friendship together with the Samoan Pentecostal congregation that has been worshiping in our sanctuary these past eight years. The Samoan praise team rocked Evergreen Park and a lovely crowd gathered in the shade of these gorgeous trees. Pastor Staci led us in a thoughtful reflection on what it means to be in different boats on the same water, centering our lives on Christ. The Samoans grilled delicious ribs, chicken, and turkey tails (!) and the Presbyterians brought the potluck sides - what a spread!

We are grateful for the years of shared services and friendship with the Samoan congregation. We pray blessings on them as they move to another worship space across town. God is good! All the time!

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is responding to the wildfires in Washington state. Initial assistance grants have been disbursed, and PDA will continue to monitor the situation and deploy National Response Team members when it is safe to do so, at the invitation of the presbytery.

Please join us in praying for the thousands of people evacuating, the first responders working tirelessly, the wildlife and sacred lands that are impacted. May we be good stewards of our earth and provide compassionate care for our siblings in need.

Church in the Park is just around the corner!

***no worship service in the church building that morning***
We'll worship with the Samoan Pentecostal Church and then enjoy a BBQ/potluck.

What to bring?
- a potluck dish to share - Summit is covering sides, salads, desserts, and beverages while the Samoan church is grilling chicken.
- lawn chair for yourself if you have one, and any extra lawn chairs you’re willing to share.

Meet at Shelters 5 and 6 (closer to the 9/11 memorial than to the playground area)

Community Lunches with Meals on Wheels Kitsap
Wednesdays at noon beginning in July
Summit Ave Fellowship Hall

Summit Outreach Services is partnering with Meals on Wheels Kitsap to host a weekly lunch in our Fellowship Hall at noon on Wednesdays beginning in July. The Community Dining Meals Program offers older adults the opportunity to enjoy a hot, nutritionally-balanced meal while connecting with others. Meals are served at noontime for adults age 60 and older (suggested donation $5 per meal). Under 60 may dine for $8.

Reservations are required by 2:00 pm at least one business day in advance: (360) 377-8511. If you plan to attend regularly, you can simply let them know with a one time call.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Loriana Ceralde at Summit this Saturday, June 6, at 11:00 am. The service will be livestreamed to our Summit YouTube channel.

Loriana was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, and friend to so many. She filled the world with beauty and love.
