The Beginning of 4G Ministries
You may be wondering, “How did 4G Ministries get started?” After 36 years in pastoral ministry, I made the decision in September 2017 that I would spend my last years of ministry doing nothing but mission work. In 2018, I resigned as Pastor of Center Grove Baptist Church and launched 4G Ministries, a 501 c3 ministry. The Foundation of 4G Ministries
People often

have asks me, “what does the ‘4G’ stand for? I believe it is a biblical concept that comes from Paul’s words to Timothy.
2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” If you look at this verse closely, Paul is instructing Timothy to pass on to others what he had learned from him. We see four generations of biblical leadership training in this verse: [1] Paul; According to Paul’s own testimony, he spent three years in Arabia being taught through divine revelations by the Lord (Gal.1:11-18). The Apostles had received three years of teaching from the Lord Jesus, and Paul was given the same opportunity to be taught by Christ. [2] Timothy; Paul taught Timothy the work of the ministry. [3] Faithful men; Timothy is charged to teach faithful men. [4] Others. And these faithful men were told to teach others. For many years “teaching and training others” has been my passion. There are three features that describe the heartbeat of 4G Ministries. Our Mission Statement: (What we do) “The mission of 4G Ministries is to develop leaders who will train other leaders for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.”
Our Purpose Statement: (Why we exist) “Partnering with churches, missionaries, and Christian organizations in disciple-making, leadership training, and church-planting.”
Our Vision Statement: (Where we are going) “To always provide Christ-centered teaching, discipleship training, and church planting opportunities for those who feel God’s call to enter the ministry.”
