REPLAY ALERT! 🌤️ What do you look at when life gets hard?

This past Sunday was one for the books. We celebrated Ascension Sunday, honored three incredible graduating seniors, and heard a message that stopped us in our tracks — delivered by one of our own.

Maddie Beyer stepped up to the pulpit and preached from John 17, reminding us that when Jesus was facing the cross, he didn't look down at his problems. He looked up at the Father.

We also celebrated Carson Anderson, Maddie Beyer, and Miley Bruce — three graduating seniors who made us so proud this Sunday. 🎓 We can't wait to see where God takes them next.

💬 "They will know we are Christians by our love."
Are we actually showing that to the world?

In a world full of division, Pastor Shandon reminds us that love isn't just a feeling — it's a verb. In the book of John alone, love as an action appears 51 times. Jesus didn't just talk about love. He served Judas. He welcomed the outcast. He brought together people who had no business being in the same room.

And He's calling us to do the same. 💛

📖 "Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished from their sight.
They said to each other, 'Were not our hearts burning within us while he was talking to us on the road, while he was opening the scriptures to us?'" -- Luke 24:31-32

Luke 24 recounts a couple of Jesus' friends having an encounter with the resurrected Christ while walking to Emmaus. During this encounter, they felt their hearts inspired while reviewing scripture.

Attention 7th-12th graders! Come join us for bringing our tough questions to scripture! We are continuing our study of Exodus. The homework can be done within 3 days.

Day 1: Exodus 13-16
Day 2: Exodus 17-20
Day 3: Exodus 21-24

Easy peasy! Come with your questions and write down what patterns and themes that you see and let's talk about it over pizza after church! Feel free to pass along to other curious youth!
