This Palm Sunday, we served our community by offering prayer to those in need. We had the opportunity to pray for over 22 individuals & also blessed them with free food & gift cards.

What’s my journey been like at GFO? More understanding, loving God with all my heart, serving others, being involved, and attending Bible study with strong leaders who teach the Word of God. I learned about GFO from my sister Nina. She invited me to come and visit, and she spoke very highly of Pastor Wendell and how he had brought her through some tough times. She also spoke highly of the members and the whole church, so I decided to join her on Sunday.

My first visit was awesome. I was impressed and felt loved there. First Lady has such an open heart and is a very special lady. I have been coming for two or three years—maybe longer—but I know for sure it has been three years. I like the teaching, the preaching, the worship, and the members. Being a part of the church and being involved in things is something I wasn’t accustomed to doing, but I attended and enjoyed it all.

I even visit the nursing home, which is something I’d never done before, and I enjoy that. It has been a start for me. - Marcella

On Saturday, we were blessed to provide free clothes, turkeys, hams, and grocery gift cards to 30 families in our community. We also had a prayer table available, and our prayer team ministered to over 30 people.

One woman approached the clothing table in tears, sharing that she was on her way to pawn items from her late mother just to buy clothes. She was overwhelmed with emotion when she saw our free giveaway happening right across the street.

A special thank you to the BYM Foundation for generously donating the turkeys & hams.

On Sunday, November 9, we celebrated our 12th Church Anniversary. It was also a very special day as we dedicated Pastor Wendell and Keisha’s son, Benjamin, to the Lord. The service was filled with praise and rejoicing!

Special thanks to Pastor Tim Campbell, of Impact Church Memphis, who preached a powerful word on the faithfulness and mercy of God. These last twelve years have been a true testament of God’s goodness & we look forward to what God has in store for GFO St. Louis.
