We Are Simply Christians
The word “Christian” is used 3 times in the Bible:

“And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.” Acts 11:26
“Then Agrip

pa said to Paul, ‘You almost persuade me to become a Christian.’”
Acts 26:28 “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be
ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”1 Peter 4:16

A warning is given in 1 Corinthians 1:12-13, “Now I say this, that each of you says, ‘I am of Paul,’ or ‘I am of Apollos,’ or ‘I am of Cephas,’ or ‘I am of Christ.’
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?”

This shows that while calling ourselves Christians, we should not divide into different groups. We see that the Bible says that we should never say that we are a special variety of Christian by calling ourselves by some man’s name, or some practice, or tradition. We are committed to being simply Christians and simply following the Bible. “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3)

we should be, then please drop us a note at

In the Beginning

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1

The Bible begins with a simple but powerful truth: God is the Creator of all things. Before there was light, land, oceans, or life itself, there was God. This opening verse reminds us that our world is not an accident, nor are our lives without purpose. Everything begins with Him.

When we look at creation — the sunrise, the stars, the changing seasons, and the beauty of life — we see evidence of God’s wisdom and power. Yet Genesis 1:1 also reminds us that the same God who created the universe is still active today. He is able to bring order out of chaos, hope out of darkness, and peace into troubled hearts.

Sometimes life feels uncertain or overwhelming, but we can take comfort in knowing that the Creator of heaven and earth is in control. The One who spoke the world into existence knows each of us personally and cares deeply for His creation.

As we begin each new day, let us remember to place God first in our lives. Just as the Bible begins with Him, our lives are strongest when they begin with Him too.

James 1:5

Seeking God’s Wisdom

Life often places us in situations where we simply do not know what to do. Decisions, struggles, relationships, and unexpected trials can leave us searching for answers. James gives us a beautiful promise:

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” — James 1:5

God does not grow tired of His children coming to Him for guidance. He invites us to ask. His wisdom is greater than human knowledge because it comes from the One who sees the beginning and the end.

Wisdom is more than intelligence — it is knowing how to live in a way that honors God. Through prayer, His Word, and faithful obedience, God helps us navigate life with clarity and peace.

When we are uncertain, discouraged, or overwhelmed, we can confidently turn to Him. God promises to give wisdom generously to those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

May we remember this week to pause, pray, and trust God’s direction in every part of our lives.

Wait on the Lord

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” — Psalm 27:14

Life often places us in seasons of waiting. We wait for answers, healing, peace, direction, or relief from burdens we carry. Waiting can test our patience and challenge our faith, yet David reminds us that waiting on the Lord is never wasted time.

To “wait on the Lord” means more than simply passing time. It means trusting God’s wisdom, depending on His promises, and remaining faithful even when we cannot yet see the outcome. God works in ways and times greater than our own understanding.

David also tells us to “be of good courage.” Courage is not the absence of fear; it is continuing to trust God in the midst of uncertainty. When we place our hope in Him, He strengthens our hearts and renews our spirit.

As Christians, we can face tomorrow with confidence because the Lord is faithful. No matter how long the road may seem, God has not forgotten His people. Let us continue to pray, trust, and patiently wait upon Him.

May we all find strength and peace in the Lord this week.

Psalm 118:24

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Psalm 118:24 is a simple verse, but it carries a powerful reminder. Today is not an accident. It is not merely another square on the calendar. It is a day given by the Lord.

Because God has made this day, we should receive it with thankfulness. We may not know everything the day will bring, but we know the One who holds it. There may be work to do, burdens to carry, people to help, and choices to make. Through it all, God is still worthy of our trust and praise.

The verse says, “we will rejoice.” Rejoicing is not always about having perfect circumstances. It is choosing to remember God’s goodness even when life is not easy. It is looking beyond our troubles and seeing the blessings God has placed before us.

Each day gives us another opportunity to worship God, encourage someone, obey His word, and draw closer to Him. Let us not waste today with bitterness, worry, or complaint. Let us use it for the Lord.

Today is a gift. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

“Blessed Are the Meek”

Matthew 5:5 — “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”

When Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek,” He was not praising weakness. Meekness is strength under control. It is a heart that is humble before God, gentle toward others, and willing to submit to the Lord’s will.

The world often tells us to be loud, proud, and demanding. But Jesus teaches something very different. The meek person does not need to win every argument, get even, or prove they are important. A meek person trusts God to judge rightly and provide what is needed.

Moses was described as very meek, yet he led God’s people with courage. Jesus Himself was meek and lowly in heart, yet He had all authority. Meekness is not fearfulness; it is faithfulness.

Jesus promised that the meek “shall inherit the earth.” Those who humble themselves before God will receive His blessings. The proud may seem to gain much for a little while, but the faithful belong to God and have an inheritance that cannot be taken away.

This week, let us practice meekness in our homes, our conversations, and our service to God. Let us be gentle instead of harsh, patient instead of angry, and humble instead of proud.

A meek spirit is precious in the sight of God.

Blessed Are the Poor in Spirit

“Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 5:3

Jesus began the Beatitudes with a lesson on humility. To be “poor in spirit” does not mean being poor in money or possessions. It means recognizing our need for God. It is the heart that says, “Lord, I cannot do this without You.”

Pride keeps people from seeing their spiritual need, but humility opens the door to God’s blessings. The poor in spirit are willing to listen, repent, obey, and depend on the Lord. They understand that salvation is not earned by our own greatness, but comes through the mercy and grace of God.

Jesus says that such people are blessed, “for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” What a beautiful promise. The kingdom belongs not to the proud, the self-sufficient, or the boastful, but to those who humble themselves before God.

This week, may we examine our hearts and remember our need for the Lord every day. A humble heart is precious in the sight of God.

Thought for the week:
A person who knows they need God is already on the path to true blessing.

Loved With an Everlasting Love

Jeremiah 31:3

“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”

Jeremiah 31:3 is a beautiful reminder that God’s love is not temporary, weak, or uncertain. His love is everlasting. People may change, circumstances may change, and life may bring trials we do not understand, but God’s love remains steady and true.

God spoke these words to a people who had faced hardship and sorrow. Even then, He reminded them that He had not forgotten them. He loved them, and He was still drawing them with lovingkindness. What a comforting thought for us today. When we feel discouraged, lonely, or burdened, we can remember that God’s love reaches further than our troubles.

The greatest proof of God’s love is seen in His Son. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Through Christ, God calls us to come near to Him, obey His word, and walk in His ways.

May we never take God’s everlasting love for granted. Instead, let us respond with faithful hearts, grateful lives, and a desire to love Him in return.

Thought for the week:
God’s love does not fade with time; it reaches into eternity.

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Today’s Reminder:
Every day is a gift from God. Even when life feels busy, heavy, or uncertain, we can choose to see His hand in the blessings around us.

Encouragement:
Rejoice in the Lord today.
Be thankful for His mercy.
Trust Him with what lies ahead.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for this day You have made. Help us rejoice in Your goodness, walk in faith, and share Your love with others. Amen.

A thankful heart can find joy in ordinary days
