Father’s Day at Shepherd’s Heart was truly special.

We shared laughs, gave away prizes, and celebrated our dads with a beef jerky bar that was a big hit. But the greatest part of the day wasn’t found in any of those things.

It was the powerful reminder of the Father’s love.

As our service came to a close, the older fathers gathered around the next generation and prayed over them. It was a beautiful picture of what God intended—a legacy of faith being passed from one generation to the next. Strength speaking blessing. Wisdom covering youth. Hearts united in prayer.

There was something sacred about watching fathers and father figures stand in the gap, declaring God’s goodness, protection, purpose and favor over the young people in our church family.

“One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4

We are grateful for every father, grandfather, spiritual father, and mentor who faithfully points others to the heart of our Heavenly Father.

What a beautiful day at Shepherd’s Heart. 💚

Join us tomorrow at Shepherd's Heart for a special Father's Day service as we celebrate dads, grandpas, spiritual fathers, mentors, and the men who have made a difference in our lives.

On Juneteenth, we remember the day enslaved people in Texas finally learned they had been legally free for two years. Freedom had already been declared—they just hadn’t heard the news yet. And when they did, they didn’t remain where they were. They walked away from slavery and embraced their freedom.

That story reminds us of the Gospel. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has declared freedom over our lives. We no longer have to live under the unauthorized rule of the enemy—of shame, fear, or sin. Christ has set us free.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth and honor the courage, perseverance, and faith of those who came before us. We are also reminded that true freedom isn’t just something we commemorate—it’s something we’re called to experience.

Freedom has been granted. The question is: will we live like we’re free?

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
— John 8:36

If we want to see things change out there, then things first have to change in here.

Real transformation does not come from hype, influence, or appearances. It comes from an intimate relationship with God.

The world does not need more people pretending to have it together. It needs people who truly know Him.

What an incredible day at Shepherd’s Heart Superhero VBS!
Today our kids became Superheroes for Christ as they learned that the greatest strength comes from following Jesus!
From superhero-themed stations and skill-building activities to worship, dancing, games, and plenty of laughter, the day was packed with fun and faith. The kids had the opportunity to practice their "superhero skills," build friendships, and spend quality time learning from Pastor Richard.
But the greatest highlight of the day wasn't the games or activities—it was seeing two children give their hearts to Jesus! There is no greater victory than that, and we are celebrating what God did in their lives today.
A huge thank you to every staff member and volunteer who gave their time, energy, and love to make this day possible. Your servant hearts helped create an unforgettable experience for these kids, and we couldn't have done it without you.
Today reminded us that real superheroes don't wear capes—they shine the light of Christ wherever they go.
Thank you, Shepherd's Heart family, for helping make a difference in the next generation!
