Tabor Church's story is a rich one, filled with over 125 years of ministry to people who live in the shoreline communities of South Central Connecticut. We are named after a mountain in the Holy Land where, tradition has it, the Transfiguration of Christ occurred. Even as Jesus was transformed in the light of God before his disciples on Mount Tabor, God transforms individuals at Tabor Church throu

gh God's Word and the Sacraments and through a loving, supportive community. Our witness to Christ includes diverse ministry programs and community activities. Our community programs range from the Tabor Christian Community Preschool to our mission partnership with Resurrection Lutheran Church in New Haven, CT. Tabor Church proclaims God's love as FUN: Forever, Unconditional and Nurturing. We strive to serve rather than to be served. A special shoutout to the Tabor members and friends who participated in the Calumet Lutheran Ministries * Camp & Conference Center Obstacle and Trail Challenge this past Saturday! Jeremy, Dom, and Ken ran the race, while Christine and Kiersten volunteered at obstacle stations and the finish line.

Camp Calumet is an outdoor ministry of the ELCA, and the Challenge is a fundraiser to help ensure that every child can experience camp, no matter their financial situation.
