Sunday Mornings at 10am Tabor is a wonderful, unique place. We're a church on the move!

Tabor Church's story is a rich one, filled with over 125 years of ministry to people who live in the shoreline communities of South Central Connecticut. We are named after a mountain in the Holy Land where, tradition has it, the Transfiguration of Christ occurred. Even as Jesus was transformed in the light of God before his disciples on Mount Tabor, God transforms individuals at Tabor Church throu

gh God's Word and the Sacraments and through a loving, supportive community. Our witness to Christ includes diverse ministry programs and community activities. Our community programs range from the Tabor Christian Community Preschool to our mission partnership with Resurrection Lutheran Church in New Haven, CT. Tabor Church proclaims God's love as FUN: Forever, Unconditional and Nurturing. We strive to serve rather than to be served. We are still collecting items for Lutheran World Relief Kits! The Lutheran World Relief display in our narthex provides context for how the kits were shared with those in need in 2025.

We are assembling School Kits and Personal Care Kits to support our neighbors in need. If you would like to support the collection, donations can be dropped off on Sundays at Worship or during the week when the office is open.
