Sunday’s Parish Picnic, Blessing of Backpacks, and the First Informed Holy Communion Celebration made for a wonderful day!

We are now just a couple days from our big celebration!!!

During the service, we have several of our young ones celebrating their First Informed Holy Communion and a Blessing of School Backpacks. Following the service, there will be a brief tour downstairs of our Sunday School classrooms for any visiting family and friends.

Finally, please join us in celebrating our Annual Parish Picnic together over hamburgers, hotdogs, desserts, and fellowship! We look forward to seeing you on Sunday! ☀️

Trinity will be celebrating students, teachers, and workers going back to school with a Blessing of Backpacks by Father Thomas Blake during our 10am service. We will also be celebrating several First Communions of Trinity’s little ones. We’ll finish the morning with Trinity’s Annual Parish Picnic following the service! Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, water, and good fellowship will be served 😊

New Season of Creation Daily Devotions Begin on Sept. 1

Most of us know very little about the great web of life that surrounds us. The purpose of these daily devotions is to open our eyes to some of the “created ones” with whom we share common ground, to awaken our hearts to their needs, and to take new steps toward living together in peace.

How do they work?

Each day of the 2026 Season of Creation (September 1 - October 4) participants will receive a Daily Devotion via email bringing to light a different keystone species in our Province One EcoRegion. The Devotions will include a photo, a brief description, thoughts on how the species reflects our image of God, and a closing prayer. The Devotions will be prepared by Episcopalians from around Province One.

We have been busy learning, and practicing, and collaborating in faith community with kindred spirits. “Drinking from the proverbial firehose” is not an exaggeration: so many tools, and models, and strategies, and faithful healthy and effective communities!

To my beloved Trinity Church family,

Oh my goodness… thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful flowers, your kindness, and your prayers as I prepare to go in for heart surgery. Your thoughtfulness truly touched me in a way I cannot fully put into words. The flowers were completely unexpected, but the love behind them was felt immediately.

In moments like these, you realize how blessed you are to have a church family standing beside you. Knowing that so many wonderful parishioners are praying for me gives me strength, peace, and hope. God’s love shines brightly through all of you.

I love this church, and I love each and every one of you for the compassion and support you have shown me. Thank you for reminding me that faith, friendship, and love are some of life’s greatest miracles.

May God bless Trinity Church and all of its beautiful people abundantly.
