🙏 A Labor Day Prayer
Gracious God,
As we pause this Labor Day, we give thanks for the gift of work and for the many ways people use their time, talents, and strength to serve others. We pray for all who labor—in offices and classrooms, hospitals and homes, fields and factories, businesses and ministries.
Bless those who find purpose and joy in their work, and strengthen those whose work is difficult, exhausting, or unseen. Be near to those seeking employment, those facing uncertainty, and those who work to provide for their families.
Remind us that our worth is not measured by our job, our accomplishments, or our productivity, but by your love for us. Help us to treat every worker with dignity, fairness, and compassion, remembering that each person is created in your image.
As we enjoy this day of rest, teach us to receive rest as a gift and to trust you with the work that remains.
