Peanut Butter and Jelly Ministry

The PB&J Ministry will be meeting this on Friday 9/4 8:30am-10:30am to prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. New volunteers are ALWAYS welcome!
Just come to the Nativity Catholic Church Social Hall and ask for Luann Leahy or a seasoned volunteer in a blue PB&J Ministry shirt to train you. We provide the tools and supplies, YOU provide the love!
We will also be accepting sandwiches at the drive thru/drop off area from 8:30am-10:30am.

Blue Palms Retirement Village in Tampa made 110 PB&J sandwiches. They assembled brown bags with PB&J sandwiches, a small bottle of water, cookies, chips, apple, and an inspirational message. We delivered the bags to St. Joseph's. Thank you Linda and the group from the Blue Palms Retirement Village for helping to feed the homeless and the hungry!

The PB&J Ministry would like to give a BIG ‘thank you’ to St Lawrence Catholic School in Tampa once again for donating more workbooks & school books. Kathleen Mooney coordinated the delivery of school items to the PB&J Ministry. We distributed the school items to Mango Elementary School in Seffner.
Their generosity will help many teachers provide additional educational tools for their students to ensure a better learning experience. We are very grateful to St Lawrence Catholic School. PB&J Ministry volunteers served donuts and coffee after the morning masses in the Nativity Catholic Church Social Hall today. Thank you everyone who came by and said hello to our PB&J Ministry volunteers or inquired about how the ministry has been serving our needy neighbors since 11/23/2005. It was a great morning!

Wow! What an incredible PB&J morning. First off we welcomed US Representative Kathy Castor. She joined us along with the East Hillsborough Democratic Club to help us prepare PB&J sandwiches for the homeless & hungry. We are very grateful for Kathy Castor & the East Hillsborough Democratic Club’s service to our community. Plus we are always grateful to our many volunteers who show up time & time again to help. This is what we did: We prepared & collected 6540 sandwiches, had 86 inside volunteers & 35 drive by drop off volunteers. 👏 We also gave out clothes, shoes & reading books. It’s funny, the Gospel today was taken from Matthew 22:34-40 (read the verses when you get the chance). Part of it reads ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ And that’s exactly what we do. Thank you my friends. 😇

The PB&J Ministry would like to give a ‘shout out’ to Lynh with Haircut N’ Beyond. They donated 50 free haircuts. The haircuts were incredibly generous of them. We put the gift certificates in the backpacks assembled with school supplies on goodie/backpack day. Thank you for helping students feel good about themselves when going back to school! The PB&J Ministry would also like to recognize Hope Worldwide. They collected & donated numerous amounts of backpacks, school supplies, food & socks.

The PB&J Ministry is very grateful for the
Fishhawk Cheerleading Wolfpack Team. Liz once again spear headed their community outreach collection and participation. Their group donated many food items, backpacks & school supplies. Their readiness to help was off the charts. They joyfully came in ready to tackle the jobs at hand. Thank you Fishhawk Wolfpack team & parents. We couldn’t have provided for so many without you!
