I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:

You’re holding a cup of coffee when someone accidentally bumps into you or shakes your arm, causing coffee to spill everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

Most people would answer, “Because someone bumped into me.”

That’s only part of the story.

You spilled coffee because coffee was what filled your cup. If your cup had been filled with tea, you would have spilled tea instead.

The same is true of our lives.

When life shakes us—and it will—whatever fills our hearts is what will spill out. It’s easy to appear patient, joyful, or kind when everything is going well. But pressure has a way of revealing what was there all along.

So the real question is:

What’s in your cup?

When life gets hard, what overflows?

Is it joy, gratitude, peace, humility, and trust in God?

Or is it anger, bitterness, resentment, self-pity, fear, and the urge to give up?

We don’t always get to choose what happens to us, but we can choose what we allow to fill our hearts each day.

Today, let’s ask God to fill our cups with His presence—with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, truth, resilience, kindness, gentleness, and love.

Then, when life shakes us, what spills out will reflect the One who fills us. 🤍🙏🏻

The church is not a building we visit once a week—it’s who we are every day.

Wherever we go, we carry the love of Christ, reflect His light, and live as His hands and feet. Sunday gatherings strengthen us, but our faith is meant to be lived from Monday to Saturday too.

Don’t just go to church. Be the Church. 🤍🙏🏻
