28th Annual Roxbury International Film Festival to Feature “Hidden in Plain Sight,” a Documentary Exploring the History of Black Catholics in the Archdiocese of Boston
On Friday, June 19, 2026, “Hidden in Plain Sight,” a documentary exploring the history of Black Catholics in the Archdiocese of Boston will be screened at the 28th Annual Roxbury International Film Festival on Friday, June 19, at Massachusetts College of Art, as part of the festival's short film program, Shorts: Unseen African American Histories.
This 30-minute documentary explores experiences, contributions, and the enduring faith of Black Catholics within the Archdiocese of Boston through interviews and archival footage. These inspiring stories of faith, resilience, and belonging are an important part of who we are as Church.
