28th Annual Roxbury International Film Festival to Feature “Hidden in Plain Sight,” a Documentary Exploring the History of Black Catholics in the Archdiocese of Boston

On Friday, June 19, 2026, “Hidden in Plain Sight,” a documentary exploring the history of Black Catholics in the Archdiocese of Boston will be screened at the 28th Annual Roxbury International Film Festival on Friday, June 19, at Massachusetts College of Art, as part of the festival's short film program, Shorts: Unseen African American Histories.

This 30-minute documentary explores experiences, contributions, and the enduring faith of Black Catholics within the Archdiocese of Boston through interviews and archival footage. These inspiring stories of faith, resilience, and belonging are an important part of who we are as Church.

🙏 Today, as the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, Isabel and Lorna from the Multicultural Ministry Team were delighted to attend Mass with the Polish Catholic community at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Boston. 🇵🇱
We give thanks for the gift of the Eucharist, which unites us across cultures, languages, and communities as one Body in Christ. 🙏
