Discernment isn't about rushing to a decision; it's about growing in the freedom to say "yes" to whatever God desires.

Whether He is calling you to marriage, the priesthood, or another vocation, a heart that seeks Him first will never be led astray.

Here’s a challenge: Pray for five minutes each day for the next 30 days, asking, "Lord, what do You desire for my life? Give me the awareness to discover it and the courage to follow wherever You lead." Then, pay attention and listen.

It’s common at this stage to chase what feels good, keep God at arm's length, and tell yourself you'll get serious later.

Augustine lived that exact life. Smart guy, ambitious, plenty of women, plenty of parties — and he knew exactly what he was doing. His own line was basically "God, make me holy... just not yet."

Through his mother’s persistent prayer, intellectual roadblocks along the way, a relationship with a bishop, and an encounter with Christ through scripture, Augustine turned all that same intensity — the ambition, the drive, the refusal to settle for less — toward God instead.

Augustine became one of the greatest minds the Church has ever had. Not despite the mess. Because he stopped running from it.

You don't need a clean record to get serious about your life. You need to stop saying "not yet."

St. Augustine, pray for us — especially when we know better and keep stalling anyway.

Good week, good date, good workout, good night out — but it feels like something’s still missing.

Maybe it's this: you're not fully yourself in any one room. One guy with friends, another on a date, another with family, someone else again when you're alone. Not lying — just easier to manage an image than to be known.

Bartholomew didn't live that way. Jesus called him a man with no duplicity — nothing hidden, nothing performed. Same guy, every room. It led him to real depth instead of just going through the motions.

Meaning isn't in the big decisions. It's in small, steady honesty — being the same person with your friends as you are alone, saying what you actually think, not performing for approval. That consistency is worth building now, before life gets even more complicated.

St. Bartholomew, pray for us — for the courage to be who we actually are.

Discernment isn't sitting around waiting for a lightning bolt.

It's showing up to the silence every day and asking the hard question, even when you'd rather just get moving. God's not gonna out-shout your excuses.

You gotta actually stop and listen.
Visit with Him.

Mary didn't get a five-year plan. She got an angel showing up out of nowhere, one question, and she said yes before she had a clue how any of it would play out. No roadmap. No guarantee. Just yes. That's the move that makes her Queen.

So, you're sitting there, wondering what you're "supposed to do with your life" — like it's some puzzle you'll solve by thinking harder. It's not. You don't think your way into purpose. You say yes to something bigger than your plans, then you go find out what it means.

Mary didn't slot God into her schedule between everything else going on. God's plan was the plan. Everything else built around it.

Same deal for you. Quit waiting until you've got it all mapped out. Say yes now, figure out the rest on the way.

Mary, Queen of Heaven — pray for us to have that kind of faith, especially when we've got no idea how it's gonna go.

Something's missing and you know it. New job, new gym routine, new relationship — none of it sticks the way you thought it would.

Tim Walsh, a guy from Milton, felt the exact same pull. His discovery?

"No other life could satisfy the longing in my heart for discipleship."

So, he took a step toward exploring that call and walked into St. John's Seminary. He’s still on that journey.

That itch isn't a problem to outrun. It's a signal.
Reach out to a priest. Have one real conversation. See where it leads.

Real men. Real Discernment. We can help.

Becoming the man God created you to be doesn't happen by accident. It's built one choice at a time.

➢ Choose prayer over distraction.
➢ Choose integrity over convenience.
➢ Choose courage over comfort.
➢ Choose serving others over serving yourself.
➢ Choose what's right, even when no one is watching.

Every one of those decisions shapes your character. Every day you choose Christ, you become a stronger, wiser, more authentic man.

The amazing part? As you become the man God created you to be, your purpose becomes clearer.
