Words cannot fully express the depth of sorrow felt by all who knew and loved Caleb. In times of grief, doubt, fear, and unanswered questions, the body of Christ shines most brightly, surrounding one another with love, prayer, and comfort. In moments like these, so many of life’s lesser concerns fade in the presence of such deep pain. And yet, even in our sorrow, we do not grieve without hope. We hold fast to the assurance that we will see Caleb again, because he was ready to meet his Savior face to face. Caleb lived with eternity in view, and now he rests in the joy and peace of eternal life. As we reflect on his life and sudden passing, may each of us be gently reminded of how fragile life can be, and of the importance of being ready to meet the Lord when our moment of truth comes!

Our hearts are broken beyond description. I entered several thoughts and asked GROK to compose a poem that expresses better my feelings at this dark moment.

WHEN THE PIECES DON'T FIT

When the pieces don’t fit and the picture won’t form,
When life makes no sense in the eye of the storm,
When prayers seem to echo through silence and night,
And life is cut short in the blink of first light—
Just hold on, beloved, though your heart feels undone,
Though the questions keep rising and answers won’t come.

The night may feel endless, the weeping run deep,
But morning is promised, and joy doesn’t sleep.
In the hands of the Father who gathers each tear,
The scattered and broken are held very near.
What now lies in fragments, confused and unclear,
Will one day be woven with purpose and care.

Weeping may linger the length of the night,
But joy comes with morning—pure, holy, and bright.
The pieces that baffled, the losses that sting,
Will find their completion in the Hands of the KING.

So cling to the promise when nothing makes sense,
When the road disappears and the questions are dense.
Hold fast through the darkness; the dawn will break through—
Joy comes in the morning, and it’s coming for you.

The kiddos had a great day too!!!! We colored and stuffed eggs Wednesday night, had a lesson on the reason we celebrate Easter on Sunday, followed by an egg hunt!!! He Is Risen!
