The Voices Of Praise, showed up and showed OUT, this past Sunday. Their songs were a balm of comfort and release, for anyone that needed it. It was a time of Unity for everyone. This was their first time her, but hopefully not the last. One one song (I forget which one it was-Forgive me), Mae Bell Parker, Elether Lewis, and Tameka Harris, walked up, started harmonizing with the guy, and just TORE that SONG up. That was really an unexpected treat. And it was ALL for God. Thank you and God Bless, Voices Of Praise. You really brought the emotions with you.
The Candlelight Vigil was a wonderful testimony, for people that are going through, have come out and survived. Domestic Violence and Gun Violence, has seemed to have gotten to be, an invisible illness in this country. There are many people that suffer in this situation, unseen, because for some reason, people refuse to believe that it happens. That it's an ugly stigma. People didn't just wake up one morning, and chose to be in this situation. No, from a personal point of view, it's a cowardly act, that sneaks upon you so quietly, that you're in it's grips, and don't know what's wrong. Most of these people are hard workers, with hearts full of Love, that would give their last to someone. They are people that have soft hearts, that try to treat people the way God says. Sometimes I believe this is their downfall, their humanity to man, trusting people at face value, trying to give everyone the benefit of a doubt, that turns out to be their un-doing. The very thing that's taken advantage of by the abuser. But, oh Glory, when they come through, they have a Testimony to tell. Because they've been through it, and knows how Marvelous and Beautiful it is, when they can break free. To God be ALL the Glory, Thanks, and Mercy, because it could have been the other way, but it wasn't. These people deserve a hand clap of Praise, Respect, Love and most of all-Understanding. These, are miracles of God. The only way to understand, is to listen and absorb. The old saying goes "Walk a mile in my shoes", but I think it should be "See how tall I stand in my shoes, and measure the steps that I've walked". Amen and Thank you Jesus. You were there for it all, you're what catches me when I fall, and all my life, all my life, I give you, my all and all. Thank you for my story, my lesson, and the knowledge that I gained, while going through- Love, Compassion, Respect, and Caring for my fellow man. May we all be Blessed. Until next time.
