There is no scheduled Divine Liturgy this Sunday, August 30.

Beginning in September, we are planning to have weekly Sunday Divine Liturgies at 10 AM! We’re looking forward to gathering together each Sunday for the Divine Liturgy.

We will continue to use our Facebook cover photo to display upcoming Liturgies and events, making it easy to keep track of what’s coming up and what else may be happening in the life of our Outreach.

Thank you for helping us spread the word, and we look forward to seeing you in September!

In today’s Gospel (Mt 17:14-23), on the 10th Sunday after Pentecost, Jesus reminds His disciples that true strength comes not from their own abilities but from faith in God. After healing a boy whom the disciples could not, Christ says to them that the inability is, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed... nothing will be impossible to you” (Mt 17:20).

This teaching connects closely with Bishop Robert Pipta’s recent reflection on Eucharistic Communion and the Parochial Community. Bishop Robert reminds us that everything in parish life flows from our communion with Christ in the Eucharist, including stewardship and tithing. Giving is not merely a financial obligation but an act of faith and gratitude. Just as the father in today's Gospel brought his need directly to Jesus, we are called to entrust all that we have and all that we are to the Lord.

Faith is not only something we profess; it is something we practice. When we offer our time, talents, and treasure to support the mission of the Church, we participate in Christ's self-giving love. Through faithful stewardship, our parishes become vibrant communities where worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service flourish.

Living the Gospel as Missionary Disciples

1) Attend the Divine Liturgy with intentionality. Arrive a few minutes early to pray and consciously place your needs, worries, and gratitude before Christ in the Eucharist.

2) Practice stewardship as gratitude. Make your Sunday offering a conscious prayer of gratitude rather than a routine habit.

3) Consider one concrete way to volunteer your time or talents in a parish ministry that strengthens your community.

4) Invite someone to join you at the Divine Liturgy and experience the communion Christ offers His Church.
