in 1943, cleo and lola winningham donated two acres with a two room house on where sunnyside general Baptist church sits today.

lumber from the old liberty school that sat on the corner of Jackson county roads 6 and 197 was donated to the church for he purpose of adding on to the two room structure. the addition was built by the people in the community
