This letter was mailed to parishioners locally recently. For those who may no longer live in the area locally and may like to memorialize a part of the renovation of St. Bernard Church in memory of a loved one, here is how to do so if you wish to take part. The support and generosity already coming in, in less than a week since the letters arrived, is a reflection of how supportive and giving this community is πŸ™πŸ»

Just an FYI if you were interested in helping with the parade float but were not able to help last night. The group WILL be meeting again today, Nov 28th at 6PM. Due to the weather, the float is being worked on in the garage that is located at the lower end of the parking lot of St. Francis Church.

A huge thank you to the 13 volunteers who worked on it last night. And also a thank you to all those who have contributed candy so far that can be distributed at the parade. The Bradford Catholic Community sure knows how to come together πŸ€—

After consultation with the Presbyteral Council, and with the support of the parish finance council and the parish pastoral council, as well as Father John Jacquel, pastor, Bishop Lawrence Persico has relegated Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Lewis Run, a secondary church of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish, to β€œprofane but not sordid use,” effective July 1, 2023.
The technical designation refers to the canon law process by which a bishop removes the blessing or consecration of a church building. Through that process, the building ceases to be reserved for divine worship, and therefore, can be used for non-religious purposes. Find the full release, including a link to the decree, here:

As many of you know, as of March 1st, 2023 the Bradford Catholic Community has merged into one parish as St. Bernard of Clairvaux. I recommend that those that follow this page please like the page below if you have not already done so. The St. Bernard page is the one that is most current and continuously updated. The St. Francis/OMPH page will remain solely for the purpose of people being able to view the albums of the historical photos of St. Francis and OMPH as well as the albums of the church buildings and grounds. Thank you.
