MINISTER RICKY PRICE

WHAT WE BELIEVE:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and we follow it as our ONLY guide in religious matters (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 1 Peter 4:11; John 12:48). The Scriptures teach that each congregation should be self-governing, led by "elders" (1 Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Peter 5:1-3). Each congregation is autonomous, i.e., independent of all other congregations and religious groups. All of this we subscribe to by following only the Word of God (John 12:48; 16:13; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:3; Jude 3).

🎥 “Worshiping in God’s Truth”

We turn to God’s Word to guide us in the pattern of worship. It reminds us that worship should be conducted together, with the reading and teaching of Scripture and the observance of the Lord’s Supper.

🎥 “Communion, Service, and the Example of Jesus”

In our continued reflection on the Lord’s Supper, we look to the accounts of the Passover meal in the Gospels of Luke and John. Within these accounts, we see Jesus using this final meal with His disciples to teach them not only about His coming sacrifice, but also about the importance of humble service. Through His words and actions, Jesus provides a powerful example of how to serve others with love, humility, and selflessness.

🎥 “The Meaning and Importance of the Lord's Supper."

As we begin our study of the elements of corporate worship, we turn our attention to the Lord's Supper and its significance. Together, we will examine what Scripture teaches about the purpose, meaning, and practice of communion. By looking to God's Word, we will discover why the early church gathered around the Lord's Table and why we continue to partake of communion each Sunday as an act of worship, remembrance, and fellowship with Christ and one another.

🎥 “How Does God Want Us to Worship Him?”

Worship is the outward expression of an inward faith, love, and gratitude toward God. However, if we are not careful, our desire to worship can become misplaced, leading us to prioritize things such as money, personal ambitions, or work above God. By studying Scripture, we gain a deeper understanding of how God desires us to live and how we should conduct ourselves in worship. Through His Word, we learn that true worship is not only expressed through words and actions but also through a heart that is fully devoted to Him.

📣📣 Do you have extra Bibles, Devotionals, and other Christian reading materials at home? If so, share them with the community. The Church of Christ is hosting a Biblical Book Box, a Christian Library. Many of us have books at home that we have read and gained much from, but will never pick up again. Now there is a location to donate these materials and give others a chance to learn and grow from them. Drop off, take, share, return, or never return. It is up to you. That extra Bible you had, or Bible Study book, could be the thing that brings someone to God and his truth. Any questions? Leave a note or contact the Church of Christ through our page.

Thank you and God Bless! ❤🙏❤🙏

🎥 “The Biblical Perspective of Worship.”
We can find clues within the liturgy about how God desires us to worship. Worship is not confined to a particular holy site or physical location. Rather, it is the outward expression of an inward faith, love, and gratitude offered to God in spirit and in truth. It is also an act of submission, devotion, and wholehearted commitment to serving Him.

🎥 “Times We Fail to Embrace Christ.”

After our baptism, we begin a new life devoted to following Jesus. Yet, as we walk this path, we all stumble from time to time. In this lesson, we'll examine the actions, attitudes, and beliefs that can hinder our commitment to Christ. Whether it's compartmentalizing our faith—living one way at church and another in our daily lives—allowing our devotion to weaken during trials, or giving in to fear instead of trusting God, these obstacles can keep us from growing as disciples.

The Christian walk is not an easy one. Each day requires a renewed commitment to keep our eyes fixed on Christ, allowing His life and teachings to shape our thoughts, words, and actions. Though we may stumble, He calls us to rise again, continue following Him, and become more like Him every day.

🎥 “Stand Firm in Faith: A Call for Strength.”

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
