MINISTER RICKY PRICE

WHAT WE BELIEVE:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and we follow it as our ONLY guide in religious matters (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 1 Peter 4:11; John 12:48). The Scriptures teach that each congregation should be self-governing, led by "elders" (1 Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Peter 5:1-3). Each congregation is autonomous, i.e., independent of all other congregations and religious groups

. All of this we subscribe to by following only the Word of God (John 12:48; 16:13; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:3; Jude 3).

🎥 “The Importance of Confession.”

“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

- Romans 10:10-13

🎥 “God’s Call to Repentance: Part II.”

Repentance is an important part of maintaining our relationship with God. In this video, we examine examples of repentance in the Bible through the accounts of Jonah, King David, the apostle Paul, the Prodigal Son, and Zacchaeus. We explore what true repentance looks like, how it involves a change of heart and direction, and the restoration that follows when we turn back to God.

🎥 “The Consequences of Sin & the Hope of Forgiveness.”

In this video, we continue to examine the account of Achan in the Book of Joshua 7:1–26 as a case study to understand the real impact of sin. The narrative makes three points unmistakably clear: sin does not remain hidden—it will be brought to light; its consequences extend beyond the individual, affecting others in profound ways; and it always carries a cost. Achan’s actions demonstrate that sin disrupts not only one’s relationship with God but also the well-being of the broader community, reinforcing the seriousness of disobedience and its inevitable repercussions.

🎥 “Responding to Sin & The Call to Action.”

Sin can be understood in several ways. In this video, we examine three key definitions: sin as a transgression of God’s law, as “missing the mark,” and as knowing what is right but choosing not to do it. We also look at the account of Achan in the Book of Joshua 7:1–26 as a case study, illustrating how sin can manifest in our lives and the broader consequences it can have within a family.

🎥 “Living in His Resurrection Power.”

“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” -Romans 6:3-4

In Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have been given extraordinary gifts of grace. In this video, we will explore the forgiveness of sin, the privilege of speaking directly to God through prayer, the authority to stand against and rebuke Satan, and the sure promise of eternal life.

🎥 “The Sufficiency & Necessity of the Bible.”

In the final installment of What We Believe About God’s Word, we turn our attention to the sufficiency and necessity of Scripture—considering how God’s Word is fully adequate for all matters of faith and life, and why it is essential for truly knowing God, understanding His will, and walking in obedience to Him.

Preparing for worship...I read these words from Paul.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God," 1 Corinthians 1:18.

Father...thank You for our Savior Jesus...thank You for Your word...and thank You for being able to understand...for it is by faith we walk...and by faith we are guided ever towards You...Amen.
