Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. (Col. 3:23-24 ESV) Paul tells us there is a marked difference between Christian labor and "church work." God calls Christians to labor tirelessly in bringing souls into His love and care through evangelism and example. We confuse the two by being more productive in being good church members and replicating ourselves rather than teaching salvation. The key difference is wrought in the final product; more "pew people" or more Christians. Today stop pushing people into the church. Begin leading them into relationship with Christ and they too will work hard in bringing others to salvation!💕

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deut. 6:6-7 ESV) One of the saddest commentaries on popular culture today is our children are able to recite the words of every vulgar and sexually explicit song without hesitation, yet these same children read below their grade levels and worse can't recite the 23rd Psalm. Mass communication and the Internet have made it possible to learn almost anything at anytime. Unfortunately we don't spend enough time personally educating our children and teaching them the Christian lifestyle. Today spend time with the next generation and teach them the source of their salvation is Jesus. Just because you sit them in church ⛪️ doesn't make them Christian anymore than sitting them in a garage makes them a Cadillac 🚘. They have to come to know Jesus for themselves.😇

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? (1 Peter 3:12-13 ESV) We often wonder when the unrighteous will get their just deserts. Peter assures us God stands in the face of those who do evil, sinners, and our oppressors. The idea is position. If God stands face to face with our enemy, He has to stand in between us and them! God wants only good for us although we must traverse this life going through good and bad. The comforting thought for us is God is with us. Today confront your opposition face to face. No matter how frightening or frustrating, God still stands in front of you against everything not in His will!

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. (Eph 4:31-32 ESV) No one likes to put on dirty clothing. The smell, the look, even the feel of filth against the skin is unsettling to most people. However, people put on the same filth spiritually everyday and think they're ready for the cover of "People" magazine. God is not fooled by fake, phony, or false attitudes. Paul writes we should be "kind" which is a derivative of the word "kin." Today remember we are family and God is our Father. So treat everyone the way you want to be treated or I'm gonna tell daddy on you!
