Mirelez family, welcome to RiverLife! ❤️

This special service marked a significant moment in the story of RiverLife Church as Bishop Tony Stewart facilitated the “passing of the baton”—the formal transition of leadership from our beloved pastors, Pastors Jerry and Stephanie Jeter, to our new Lead Pastors, Pastors EJ and Beth Mirelez.

With great joy, we officially welcome Pastor EJ Mirelez as the new Lead Pastor of RiverLife, alongside his wife, Beth, and their three beautiful children, Ryder, Kinsley, and River! We are so excited to welcome the entire Mirelez family to RiverLife and believe God has uniquely prepared them for this next season.

We honor the Jeter family for 26 years of faithful leadership, sacrifice, and service, and for the lasting legacy they have built in this house. We are grateful for what God has done through their leadership and the foundation they have faithfully laid.

Guest speaker Bishop Tony Stewart delivers a powerful and inspiring message from the story of David, focusing on his anointing to become king.

Bishop Stewart reminds us that the oil—the anointing God places upon His Church and His people—is precious. We have a responsibility to steward what God has entrusted to us.

🫒 Protect the Oil — Guard the anointing God has placed upon this house.
🫒 Produce the Oil — Cultivate a life and a church where the presence and power of God can continue to flow.
🫒 Be Producers of the Oil — Don’t simply receive the anointing; live in such a way that our lives produce something that can bless others.
🫒 Preserve the Oil for Future Generations — What God has placed on RiverLife isn’t just for us. We have a responsibility to steward it and pass it on to those coming behind us.
🫒 Be Willing to Pour the Oil — The oil was never meant to be stored up for ourselves. We must be willing to pour out what God has given us for the sake of others.

The oil is precious. It is something we are called to steward, nurture, and protect.

Last Sunday, we had the privilege of honoring and celebrating Pastors Jerry and Stephanie Jeter and their incredible 26 years of faithful ministry and service at RiverLife Church.

It was a special time to look back with gratitude on all God has done through their leadership, the lives they have touched, and the lasting impact they have made in our church, throughout our community, and around the world.

As we celebrate this meaningful milestone, we also look ahead with joy and anticipation for the new season God is leading them into. We are so grateful for their years of steadfast leadership, faithful service, and unwavering commitment to God's calling.

Pastors Jerry and Stephanie, we celebrate you, we thank God for you, and we send you into this next season with our love, gratitude, and great expectation for all God has ahead.

Encouraging us to remain faithful and fully committed to Jesus Christ, Pastor Jerry calls us to care for one another, support one another, and faithfully serve one another as we continue the journey God has placed before us.
