Good Lord willing, the Bread Basket (pantry) at 53rd Avenue Church of Christ plans to be open this Wednesday, July 27th.

My husband and I are in the mid of remodeling our home and received notice from Home Depot that our new stove and microwave will be delivered on Monday, the 11th. We are giving away our stove and microwave to anyone who needs them. We got this stove from our elder Tim Herring few years back and we are changing our appliances color to slate. We want to pay it forward to another person who would need it. 😎 The interested party would need to pick up the appliances by Sunday, July 10th.

Also, giving away is the console we used for our large TV and this can be picked up after July 15th.

Congratulations to Randy and Arwen Blankinship for receiving the Divine Servant Award from Mount Dora Children's Home at the Sarasota-Bradenton Mt. Dora fund raiser dinner Saturday night. The Divine Servant Award is their way of saying thanks to individuals or couples who have demonstrated faithful support of Mount Dora Children's Home over a period of many years.

Youth Minister Position Available

The 53rd Avenue Church of Christ in Bradenton, FL is looking for a Youth Minister to serve our congregation of 180 members and our youth group of approximately 15 teens. Our youth group is strongly supported by our membership and its parents. Bradenton is located on the beautiful, sunny Gulf Coast.

Our future Youth Minister will plan, communicate and execute programs and activities aimed at enriching the spiritual lives of youth.

We are seeking a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferred in Bible, youth ministry or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with education and experience.
