🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Braceville United Methodist Church! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as a nation, we give thanks to God for His many blessings and remember those who have sacrificed to protect those freedoms.

This Independence Day, may we also celebrate the freedom we have in Christ—a freedom that calls us to love God, love our neighbors, and serve with grace and compassion.

“As for freedom, Christ has set us free.” — Galatians 5:1

We pray that your day is filled with joy, gratitude, time with loved ones, and God’s peace.

On Sunday we were able to celebrate and thank Pastor Joe Schripsema for his time with us as he begins a new chapter of life.

We have been so blessed to have him as part of our church family. His kind heart, welcoming spirit, and genuine care for others made everyone feel comfortable from the moment they walked through the doors. He had a wonderful way of bringing people together, whether through his thoughtful messages, his warm smile, or the joy he shared while leading us in worship with his guitar.

His ministry has touched so many lives, and we are grateful for the time we were able to share with him. While he will certainly be missed, we are thankful for the memories, the laughter, the music, and the faith he helped nurture within our congregation.

We wish Pastor Joe all the very best in this next season. May it be filled with joy, good health, peace, and abundant blessings. Thank you for everything—you will always have a special place in our hearts.

Today we honor those who gave everything in service to others.

On this Memorial Day, may we hold close the families who mourn, cherish the freedoms we enjoy, and commit ourselves to being peacemakers in our communities.

May God bless and comfort all who remember loved ones today.
