VBS 2023 just 11 days away (June 19th - June 22nd) in Bozeman & Belgrade! We have 35 kids registered so far (10 at Living Waters, 25 at Christus Collegium) and registration ends Monday at midnight.
As we prepare for the week of fun, games, crafts and singing and dancing... here are few things you need to know:
-Our final VBS Leadership meeting is June 14 at 5pm in the Bozeman UMC basement Music room (enter thru the Alley Door, stairway to the basement, up the ramp to the first classroom). Each church please send a representative.
-VBS VOLUNTEER TRAINING follows June 14 at 6pm in the Bozeman UMC basement Music room (enter thru the Alley Door, stairway to the basement, up the ramp to the first classroom). We will have Subway sandwiches/Wraps, chips and drinks for dinner!
We will go over schedules, roles/responsibilities, risk management training and the theme for the week as well as answer questions you have.
-All volunteers must register ahead of time and will receive an email in the next couple of days about background check verification which is required for all volunteers serving with youth and children (even if it's decoration day or helping with snacks).
-Decorating: Please reach out to Shelly Batey if you can help with decorating at Living Waters. We need helpers at the Christus Collegium to decorate the space at 714 S. 8th St. on Saturday June 17th 9:30am - 12pm.
-Volunteers plan to arrive for 1st Day of VBS Monday June 19 at 8:30am to get set for the day! You will get your volunteer shirt and name tags as well as help greet kids before the opening ceremonies start at 9am. Please bring a water bottle with your name on it and wear sunscreen! If you are bringing kids or grandkids you can bring them at 8:30. We will provide snacks and access to water fill up. Parking is on the street or the few spots in the alley that are available for volunteers.
-Last Day Thursday June 22nd ends at 11:30am and we need all volunteers (and any extras available) to help us tear down and pack away supplies and decorations and get them back to Bozeman UMC's Tower Theater room upstairs.
Last note: We are still needing a couple more volunteers out at Living Waters UMC and at the Christus to help with games, shepherding and storytelling! If you have a friend or neighbor that can help out June 19th-22nd please have them sign up ASAP so we can get their information processed before Wed next week.
