Ascension Fellowships International - AFI

Ascension Fellowships International - AFI Ascension Fellowships International is related to the Apostolic Church, a worldwide, trinitarian network of churches that has its roots in the Welch Revival.

We see that one key to the success of the early church was the presence and operation of the ascension gift ministries: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4.11). Over the centuries, the truth of Christ’s gifts to the church was largely lost. In our day, God is restoring the ascension ministries to the church.

2021 AFI leadership conference in Pueblo , Co report:
AFI crossed the prophetic threshold of 40 years as a network of churches. With an awareness of divine destiny we set in two new members of our apostolic team this weekend. Erik (Darice) Burdick from Minot, ND and Kasey (Tiffany) Barsotti received confirmation and ordination to the apostolic ministry that they have been called to. They will be a great compliment to the team and a blessing to the churches in our network.

Remembering our "Run With the Horses" Conference last October in Bozeman. What a powerful download of the Spirit preparing us to lead and advance the Kingdom in times just like this!

AFI Family:

I write on behalf of the AFI apostolic team at a time when our world is full of uncertainty. It is hard to believe that exactly five months ago, many of us were gathered here in Bozeman celebrating kingdom life in Jesus. We were blessed to have Tim Jack and Craig Hopkins with us. Little did we realize that we were being equipped to “run with the horses” in the season that is upon us.

While there is much uncertainty, denial, fear and apprehension, we are blessed and positioned to strengthen one another and bring “good news of great joy” to those around us. I encourage you to make use of every opportunity to not only pray but bear witness in word and deed to people you meet in the daily interactions of life. It is for such a time as this that we have been equipped.

There is much need in our land. Our churches, small in number and isolated by geography, cannot meet all of this need, physical and spiritual. But we can set our hearts and hands to do what the Lord has set before us. Our physical resources may be limited but we have abundance of the spiritual. Now is the opportune time to share. Since most of the churches in our network are small, there may be need for financial assistance. Please let us know if we can be of help. Like the church in Acts, we are ready help.

There has not been a time in recent memory when God’s people could not gather in church buildings for worship, word and fellowship. Be encouraged and of good cheer as you sit around your dining room table tomorrow. Speak His word, pray His promises, bless His creation.

May the peace of a God which passes all understanding keep your minds and hearts in the knowledge and love of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Dan, Larry, Rich, Kasey

Our recent AFI Team meeting in Pueblo was powerful! We want to express thanks to Aaron Steiner from West Alex, OH, Larry Borud and Eric Burdick from Minot, Dan Semsh and Kasey Barsotti from Bozeman for making the trip and investing into the future of AFI. Thanks as well to the TLC elders along with John Matson and Josh Floyd for taking part in our assessment and planning meeting. Jesus is actively expressing His headship to the church in these days. These are the days of His Kingdom!
