Sometimes it takes a mountain. Sometimes it takes a desert. But God's love is always stronger than whatever trouble surrounds you.

This week's sermon drew from 2 Kings 8, where a woman of faith received a difficult command -- leave home, go to an unknown place, and trust God for seven years. She did not question. She did not delay. She obeyed immediately, and God honored every step.

When your next river feels uncrossable, remember: obedience to God's word is the foundation of true prosperity. Joshua 1:7-9 reminds us that turning neither to the right nor to the left, and meditating on God's word day and night, is what positions us for His blessing.

God does not give mountains to those who cannot climb them. He gives mountains to those He will carry through. Trust the timing. Trust the word. Him that honors God, God will honor.

Sometimes the greatest moments of faith happen when we face mountains we cannot climb alone. This week's sermon drew from 2 Kings 8, the story of a woman who obeyed God's word without question -- packing up her household, leaving without a fixed destination, and trusting a promise for seven full years in a foreign land.

Her story reminds us that God's commands do not always come with a map. They come with a promise: "I will be with you wherever you go." Like Joshua was instructed in Joshua 1:7-9, obedience to God's word -- complete, unwavering, and immediate -- is the path to true prosperity and success.

When she returned home after seven years, God had already gone before her. The king was positioned, the servant was ready, and everything taken from her was restored. Him that honors God, God will honor.

Whatever river you are facing today, trust the word. Obey it fully. Watch what God will do.

What kind of place is God preparing for you? The New Jerusalem is not a vague dream — it is a real city, a perfect cube roughly 1,500 miles in every direction, built with jasper walls, pure gold streets, and foundations of precious stones. No engineer on earth could design it. No treasure here could match it.

God's invitation is open to every man, woman, boy, and girl who accepts Jesus Christ as Savior. The gates of that city never close, because there are no threats, no violence, no pain — only the glory of the Lamb who shines brighter than the sun.

But entrance requires preparation. Revelation 21:27 reminds us that only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will enter. The cost of our redemption was the life of God's own Son. His part is done. The question is whether we will do ours.

Heaven is our home. We are nearing it. Will you be there?

Can you imagine a city 1,500 miles wide in every direction, built with pure gold so refined it is transparent, walls of jasper, foundations of precious stones, and streets that never see darkness because the Son of God is its light? That is the New Jerusalem, and God has prepared it for you.

Revelation 21 gives us a glimpse of a place where God dwells permanently with His people, where death, pain, and sin are gone forever. The gates never close because there are no threats. The tree of life is restored. And every tear you have ever cried will be wiped away by the hand of God.

What does it mean to truly carry the everlasting gospel to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people? This week's message drew from Revelation 14:6 and challenged us to move beyond our walls and into the world — libraries, neighborhoods, streets — wherever people are waiting to hear the truth.

We reflected on the 144,000 described in Revelation 14, sealed with the Father's name, without guile, without fault before the throne of God. That kind of purity does not begin in heaven — it begins here, today, in how we live and speak and serve.

Like Isaiah in Isaiah 6, when we truly see the Lord, we see ourselves clearly. And it is in that moment of honest confession that the coal touches our lips and we are made clean. Nothing washes away sin but the blood of Jesus.

Come ready to be challenged, convicted, and sent. The mission field is everywhere.

When God told King Hezekiah he would die, Hezekiah did not accept that word in silence. He turned his face and prayed, and before the prophet Isaiah could even leave the house, God answered. Fifteen more years were added to his life. Isaiah 38:1-4 reminds us that God hears, God sees, and God responds.

But the story carries a warning too. When visitors came to celebrate his healing, Hezekiah showed them his wealth and said nothing about God. He missed a divine moment to testify. How often do we do the same?

Every breath, every morning you wake up, every blessing in your life is an opportunity to point someone toward the God who heals and restores. Do not let the moment pass. Tell someone today that God has been good to you.

What do you do when you receive a devastating report? Hezekiah, king of Israel, was told by the prophet Isaiah that he would die and not live (Isaiah 38:1). Yet he turned his face to the wall and prayed, and God extended his life by 15 years before Isaiah even left the house. Prayer moves God, and God moves fast.

But the story does not end there. When foreign visitors came to celebrate his healing, Hezekiah showed them his wealth and said nothing about God. He missed the greatest opportunity of his life to testify. How often do we do the same?

Every blessing you have, every morning you wake up, every year added to your life is a testimony waiting to be shared. Do not let the people around you leave without knowing who healed you, who kept you, and who is still working on your behalf. Count your blessings, name them one by one, and let someone know that God is good.

Are you living a self-reliant life, disconnected from your true purpose? This Sabbath, we were reminded that sin broke our natural dependence on God — but through the new birth, that connection is fully restored. As Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:7, being born again is not optional — it is essential.

The Word of God is both a surgeon's scalpel, cutting away pride and self-centeredness, and a mirror, revealing who we truly are from the inside out. When we are reborn through the Holy Spirit, we are no longer defenseless against the enemy. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We are reborn, renewed, and empowered to resist sin. That day when mortal puts on immortality is speeding on its way — and we live in expectancy of it.

What does it mean to be truly reborn? This Sabbath, we explored the transformative power of the new birth — how God's Spirit renews our minds, restores our God-dependent nature, and equips us to resist sin and stand firm against the enemy.

As Romans 12:1-2 reminds us, we are called not to conform to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. God's Word acts as both a surgeon's scalpel, cutting away pride and self-centeredness, and a mirror, revealing us to ourselves so the Holy Spirit can reshape us from the inside out.

The born-again believer is not defenseless. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). That day of complete redemption is speeding on its way — and we live in expectancy of it.
