And as we crossed the Sea of Reeds
Who could foretell the future sea
We would cross and be free but
Always with shackles of bigotry
The vines that try to strangle
Yet we cling to Thee

The shining beacon with her flame
Welcomed us and many more
Ashore we came and lived and grew
This flag was ours red, white and blue
Yet blue and white we wrap ourselves
Regardless of our constant plight

America to thee we sing
With melodies of minor key
For in the heart of every Jew
Remains a beat that’s gone askew
Paths that led us here and there
But rooted in Eternal prayer

Faith and dreams we braved the sea
Resilient like a rooted tree that
Weathers any given storm or
Stories of our past forlorn
In these States we’ve planted roots
And watered them with Torah’s fruits.
