2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV) - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

When we mess up three things happen: we blame other people, we try to justify ourselves, or we try to hide our sin out of embarrassment.

This passage shows us that God is ready to hear our prayers. He wants us to share with Him where we messed up. But when we seek God for forgiveness, we need to do it with a repentant heart.

Repentance isn’t saying “God I’m sorry” And then willingly going back to sin. When we seek the face of God, we must be willing to not only give our hearts to Him but our lives also.

When we do this God hears us, He forgives us, He washes away our sin and remembers it no more and then He restores us.

Be encouraged in that today. Don’t be afraid to share with Jesus the things you are struggling with. Receive today the love, the joy, and the forgiveness that He wants you to give you.
