Annual Conference Day 2 has given me much to reflect on.
One theme that surfaced repeatedly was this: God is doing something new. The question is not whether God is at work, but whether we have eyes to see it. Are we willing to look beyond the familiar, step outside our doors, and join God where God is already moving?
One quote from Bishop Farr gave me pause:
"Who are you becoming even if there is no evidence of it yet?"
What a powerful reminder that God is often shaping us long before others can see the results. Growth, transformation, and calling often begin beneath the surface before they become visible.
Another takeaway came from Rev. Mona Candea, who challenged us to:
"Name a future for someone who may not see that future for themselves yet."
What a gift it is to encourage others, to speak hope where there is doubt, and to help people see the possibilities God sees in them.
We witnessed the passing of the mantel from the retiring pastors to the new class of ordained pastors and and inspiring call to action from our youth leadership team.
As I reflect on today, I am reminded that discipleship is about seeing what God is doing, becoming who God is calling us to be, and helping others discover the future God has prepared for them.
Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.
