In mid-March 2022, WAM assisted a client with car repair. This enabled the client to begin a new job! Some government and private agencies' policies prevent them from assisting with car repair.

In mid January 2022 a social worker from Harbor, a leading mental health and substance abuse disorder treatment provider in Ohio, contacted WAM about a person with many needs: client became homeless; car got too cold; needed to go to the hospital for urgent care; client needed to drive to adjacent state to live client’s remaining months with family. Client would be receiving a Social Security check in 4 days. Salvation Army had housed this client in a hotel for 4 nights. WAM did the same which gave this client the funds needed to drive to be with client’s family.
