The evidence compared to the promise
Most of us in these days and time live in the focus of “I have to see it to believe it”, The bible says in John 20;29 “blessed are they that have not see, and yet have believed.”
How hard is it though to do that, and why is it so hard? Is it because believing without sight is the epitome of not having control of our situation, future, or destiny?
Im reminded of the blind man in Luke 18, although he couldn’t see Jesus he cried with all his might to be heard, though he couldn’t see him to find him to be healed, his faithful cry to the father put him right before him!
In dire situations that we see no end in sight, when the walls are falling all around, and death seems so nigh, the faithful cry of the servant will be heard by the master, and the master will respond proclaiming to the mountains that surround you to become the bridges to your destiny. But it all starts with knowing the promises.
The reason the blind man received his sight, the reason that David was able to defeat Goliath, the reason that the comforter called the Holy Ghost was recieved by the men and women in the upper room was because each and every one of them leaned on the promises of God instead of the evidence in which they could see.
You see the evidence of what is around you is only but a moment, it is constantly changing from one scenario to the other. Good evidence, bad evidence, evidence in your favor, evidence that comes against you, whatever it is the evidence is temporary but the promises of God are forever and always.
But to live in the promises of God means you must have faith without sight. Because the evidence that you see will only blind you from promise that God has for you.
The thing about a promise from God is that if he said it, it shall be done. It takes us by faith to enter into that promise to have it working in our lives. Meaning we must live like the promise has already been fulfilled, with joy and happiness, in the valley or on the mountain top.
Start living on the promises, and stop looking at the evidence.
