At 1:39AM, a young man approached our building, tried to gain access through the doors, then began scoping out our windows before moving to the back of the church where a security light turned on, causing him to leave in the direction of the laundry across the street. We have a pretty good picture of the person from a few angles, but rather than "try to get to the bottom of this" it seems more important for us to get this message across clearly:

Young man, we don't know what you needed, but this isn't the way. If you need food, contact us and let us give you food. If you need community, contact us and let us plug you in to fellowship with good men. If you need help with a struggling addiction to substances or a lifestyle, let us lovingly connect you with people who can give you the support and help you need. No hard feelings or judgment. In any event, know that we love you, God loves you, and you were Created for more than this. We'll be praying for you!

Each day of Creation, God finished saying His work was "good". It means His work was purposeful and complete. Today is "Good Friday" for the same reason. What God did... what He permitted through unbridled mercy and love... is purposeful and complete. It wasn't necessarily "happy" all the time and it wasn't easy, but it was divinely good.

And in that goodness, was the fruition of hope, promise, and glory. The fruits of God's compassion that dwells with you today.

Easter is only truly understood when we connect with the sacrifice made on the cross. Get your mind and heart in the right place to celebrate Easter with an organic worship experience on Good Friday (4/3) at 7PM. Worship, prayer, and communion with a Savior who gave it all so we might understand His love.
