Family, today we were reminded of something powerful:
The Church is the Bride of Christ — and every one of us is becoming a certain kind of bride.
Scripture tells us the Bride of Christ is clothed in white, made ready for the Groom (Revelation 19:7–8).
But Jesus also warned that not everyone who is invited is truly prepared (Matthew 22:14).
There are two postures functioning in the church today:
One bride is clothed in white — pure in devotion, full of oil, waiting in love for the Groom. She doesn’t just love what Jesus does for her… she loves Jesus Himself. She stays ready, keeps her heart soft, and guards her intimacy with God.
The other bride is clothed in rags — unprepared, hardened by hurt, distracted by life, and carrying expectations of the Groom without real devotion to Him. She wants the benefits of God but struggles to surrender fully to the heart of God.
The good news?
No matter where you find yourself today, this is an invitation, not condemnation. You don’t have to stay in rags. You can be clothed in white. You can refill your oil. You can fall in love with Jesus again.
The wedding is coming.
The Groom is returning.
And the Bride must be ready.
Today, let’s ask ourselves honestly:
Which bride am I becoming?
If this stirred something in your heart, know this — you’re not alone. God is with you, and you will make it. No matter where you’ve been, Jesus is still calling you closer. This is your moment to lay down the rags, refill your oil, and fall in love with Him all over again. ❤️
