All Saints Lutheran Church

All Saints Lutheran Church All Saints extends a warm welcome to all and invites you to take part in our ongoing ministries. Come

At All Saints Lutheran Church, we believe that all truly means all: All people are loved unconditionally and abundantly by God who created them. Following the example of Jesus Christ, God’s son and our sibling, and united with Him through baptism, we share that love in offering a warm welcome to all people in the full diversity of humanity, including their gender identity and expression, sexual or

ientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability, socioeconomic status and place in their faith journey. We invite all people to be a part of the life and work of this faith community, taking special care to include those who are often excluded. We commit ourselves to continue to learn and grow in the work of antiracism, social and economic justice, and care for creation, so that through the power of the Holy Spirit and the accompaniment of Jesus, we can be the loving, supportive, and diverse community God calls us to be.

"Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility — a time dedicated to celebrating the lives, gifts and contributions of transgender people, while also recognizing their ongoing struggle for safety, dignity and justice.

In the ELCA social statement Faith, Sexism and Justice: A Call to Action, we affirm our belief that “God’s intention revealed through the Scriptures is that all people have life abundantly and flourish” (page 2). Today reminds us of our call to love, affirm and support one another — not just today, but every day as an expression of our faith."

"Together,
We mourn the rush to war and the combatants and noncombatants who have lost their lives.
We yearn for creation’s fulfillment in “a new heaven and a new earth” where death and pain “will be no more” (Revelation 21:1, 4).
We strive for justice and peace in all the earth, strengthened by faith in the crucified and risen Lord to persist.
We trust that, through God who sustains us, our weariness and fear will not overcome us."

In Christ,

The Rev. Yehiel Curry
Presiding Bishop

We are White people dismantling White supremacy. The Association of White Lutherans for Racial Justice brings together people of white European descent, white-identifying members of the ELCA, and partners of other ethnicities to be a visible and active anti-racist witness for a multicultural church.

Dear Saints,

We want you all to stay safe and warm this weekend, and so our Sunday, 1/25 worship service will be online only. You are invited to worship live at 10:30am, on our YouTube channel, so that we can all be together in the live chat.

You can also worship through our website, and worship will be available on both our YouTube channel and website later.

(All worship leaders should have received an email with information about leading online, but please contact Pastor Lura if you have questions.)

We trust and believe that not only is God present with us in online worship, but that we are with each other in spirit when we worship this way.

The congregational meeting (and potluck) will be rescheduled for after church on Sunday, Feb 1st. We hope that this will promote the most participation for the most people. As originally planned, the meeting will be hybrid, and you can attend online here or in person. All members and friends are invited to attend. Please be prepared to vote on the 2026 spending plan.

For your own sake, please be prepared for bad weather and possible electrical outages this weekend. If you need help in any way, please reach out to Pastor Lura.

In Christ,
Pastor Lura

"Darkness and blackness and night usher in so many holy and beautiful moments in the story of God. This book takes readers through some of the most well-known stories in the Old and New Testaments where God’s holy darkness has been prominent all along." - Beckah Selnick, co-author of "God's Holy Darkness"

This Advent, we commit ourselves to recognizing the beauty and holiness of darkness, including the ways it creates space for God's mysterious love to be revealed.
