🌍 Meet Our Missionaries – The Ryder Family 🇪🇨

This week we are highlighting Steve & Anna Ryder, along with their grandchildren, Serenity and Noah, who faithfully serve the Lord in Ecuador.

Many of you may remember when the Ryder family visited Central Baptist Church. Their story is a special one—they are not only serving as missionaries but are also raising their two grandchildren while sharing the love of Christ with the people of Ecuador. What a beautiful picture of faithfulness and sacrifice!

They have now returned to the mission field and would appreciate your prayers for these specific needs:

🙏 Visa Approval – Steve has applied for his visa, and they are asking us to pray that it will be approved quickly and without complications.

🏔️ Adjustment to the Altitude – Pray for strength and good health as they continue adjusting to the high elevation.

🏡 Bible Study Opportunity – Pray that God will provide the right place to host their Bible study and bring those who are searching for Him.

❤️ Open Hearts – Pray that the hearts and minds of the Ecuadorian people will be receptive to the truth of God’s Word.

🚗 Vehicle Fund – Pray that the remaining $18,000 needed to purchase a ministry vehicle will be provided.

Let’s lift up the Ryder family this week and ask the Lord to bless their ministry, protect their family, and use them mightily for His glory. 🌎❤️

Baptism Sunday is coming! 💙

This Sunday, July 19, we’ll celebrate one of our favorite days as a church family as we witness believers publicly declare their faith in Jesus through baptism.

Baptism doesn’t save us—it joyfully tells the world that Jesus has already done that. It’s a beautiful picture of the old life buried and a new life raised with Christ.

Come celebrate what God is doing. You may be encouraged, challenged, or even discover that God is calling you to take your own next step of faith.

🌍 Meet Our Missionaries

This week we are honored to highlight Dr. Amy Downey, Founder and President of Tzedakah Ministries.

Tzedakah Ministries is dedicated to equipping churches and Christians to effectively and respectfully reach the Jewish community with the Gospel. Through teaching, discipleship, evangelism resources, and leadership training, the ministry helps believers better understand how to approach Jewish outreach with clarity, compassion, and biblical truth.

Dr. Downey is passionate about restoring the understanding of God’s covenant relationship with the Jewish people and helping churches engage in meaningful outreach—whether in New York City, on the West Coast, or even in small-town Texas.

Your monthly giving to missions helps Dr. Downey and her team continue reaching Jewish communities with the hope of Christ.

🙏 Please join us in praying for:

• “Frieda,” a friend raised in the Samar Hasidic Jewish community who is currently grieving the anticipated loss of her mother
• More laborers and opportunities to continue reaching Jewish people with the Gospel
• Safety for Jewish people in New York City and other areas facing increasing hostility and antisemitism

🌍 Meet Our Missionaries
Central Baptist Church

This week we are honored to highlight The Tarr Family and their ministry, Tiny Hearts of Hope, serving children in Vietnam.

Tiny Hearts of Hope was founded by Brent Tarr and his wife to serve underprivileged children in Vietnam. Their ministry supports orphanages, food programs, medical aid, and education in self-care and safety. They also help provide access to clean water and connect children with agencies that can meet medical needs.

Through scholarships and educational support, they work to ensure children can remain in school and receive the supplies, tuition, and uniforms they need. Because the U.S. dollar stretches much farther in Vietnam, donations help provide many children with three meals a day.

The Tarr family lives in Bowie while stateside and resides in Ho Chi Minh City when in Vietnam, faithfully serving children in need.

• Pray they can hire additional staff to expand their impact
• Volunteer if you feel led to serve hands-on in this ministry
