I keep forgetting to post this so here is a few announcements for the next few weeks.
This Sunday October 25th we will be celebrating All Saints Sunday. If you haven’t done so please bring in your pictures of loved ones with names attached (who they are and who the pic belongs to so you can get it returned to you)
Also, this Sunday at 6pm join us at First Church on Jarvis St. we will be having our annual Halloween Harvest Party. There will be a chili cook off, costume contest, possible hayride if weather allows, cake walk (please bring a store bought cake or cookies for this game has to have original label with ingredients on it for allergy purposes), plus other fun and games will be available.
November 1st. Time change!!! Clocks fall back 1 hour please be aware of this as you don’t want to get to church too early. (For my family this would be a good thing since they don’t start getting ready to go til 10 mins after we were suppose to leave).
Also, we will be joining church services at Conotton Valley with the other local churches in the area for the Conotton Valley Community celebrates America 250 years. This event will be an all day event starting with church services at 11-12 our own Pastor Brock will be giving the message. 12:15-1:30 is a free community lunch and kids games, then at 2-3 we will have the CV Band and Choir, The Color Guard, and a Community Choir Cantata. Plan to come join us and stay for the day and enjoy an afternoon with friends and family.
Sunday November 15th there will be a free will donation soup and sandwich luncheon at First Church on Jarvis st from 11:30 til 1pm. There will be soup, sandwiches, and desserts. Come listen to Pastor Brock’s sermon and you can have your soul and belly both fed.
Looking ahead we would like to do a Christmas get together for the church and anyone in the community that would wish to attend. I currently am in the planning part of this event. This would be a carry-in lunch after services on a Sunday afternoon. With a small up to 5.00 gift exchange item for each person who would wish to do so. A date will later be announced.
