Today we honor the nearly 160,000 Allied troops stormed the shores of Normandy. Thousands of brave Americans faced heavy fire, cleared mined beaches, and scaled staggering cliffs in the largest seaborne invasion in history.
You helped free a continent, protect our nation, and preserve liberty.
To those who did not come home: your sacrifice will be remembered. Always.
