The New England Conference Christian Unity and Interreligious Relations (CUIR) Committee invites you to an important and timely webinar exploring the impact of Christian bias in the interpretation of the New Testament.

This engaging session, titled “Misunderstanding the New Testament Context: A Webinar on Christian Bias,” will feature renowned biblical scholar Amy-Jill Levine as the keynote speaker. Dr. Amy-Jill Levine is widely respected for her work in Jewish-Christian relations and her ability to illuminate the historical and cultural contexts of the New Testament in ways that foster deeper understanding and dialogue.

During this webinar, participants will be invited to reflect on how certain interpretations of scripture have contributed to misunderstanding, particularly in relation to Judaism and interfaith relationships. Dr. Levine will offer insights that challenge long-held assumptions and provide tools for more faithful, informed, and inclusive readings of the biblical text.

Classical music has been blasting from speakers in Liverpool city centre to tackle youth disorder.

Police said it was "an effective tool" in breaking up groups of youths and "preventing anti-social behaviour".

A special cat!

🚨 BREAKING: A Massachusetts resident just found out their cat has been attending church down the street… and at this point, he’s basically a member. 🐈⛪

Every Sunday morning, same time… gone.
No drama. No noise. Just disappears like he’s heading to early service.

Shows back up later smelling like coffee, old wooden pews…
and somebody definitely gave him a snack. 😭

So they followed him.

Turns out he’s been walking straight into the church like he belongs there…
slipping into a pew…
and sitting through the whole service like it’s part of his weekly routine.

Pastor says he shows up on time, stays quiet…
and honestly behaves better than half the congregation after a long Massachusetts week.

Doesn’t move.
Doesn’t cause problems.
Just sitting there like he understands everything.

At this point nobody questions it.

Somebody already calls him “Father Whiskers.”
Somebody saves him a seat.
And somebody definitely brings Dunkin’… just in case. ☕😭

And honestly… in Massachusetts?

Between the traffic, the weather, and everything else…
if your cat found peace somewhere… you let him have it.

Now he’s got a routine, a fanbase…
and probably better attendance than you.
