Tonight! Please join us at 6:30 PM in the South Worship Venue as we reflect on the incredible ways God has been at work over the past year!

Together, we will: Praise Him through worship, celebrate and honor those who have served faithfully, share our annual financial report, and reflect on God's faithful provision.

A dessert reception will follow the celebration. We hope you will join us for this special evening!

As a new school year begins, we want to pray for the people who make our schools what they are: students, teachers, coaches, administrators, staff, and our school community as a whole.

Swipe through and take a few minutes to pray for them by name, asking God to give them wisdom, strength, protection, and opportunities to make a difference. Let’s cover our schools in prayer this year!

What looks like coincidence may actually be the providence of God.

Ruth didn’t know why she ended up in Boaz’s field. She didn’t know what God was doing behind the scenes. But God was working through ordinary decisions, ordinary people, and an ordinary day in a field.

Ruth 2 reminds us that God is sovereign even when He seems absent. God is good even when life isn’t. And even in our bitterness, God is still providing blessing. And then there’s Boaz: a man who noticed someone vulnerable and chose to respond with kindness, dignity, and generosity.

Who are the “Ruths” around you that need someone to notice?

This week, may we pray:
“Lord, help us to see the people around us who need someone to notice their need and respond with compassion.”

We’ve seen God do a lot over the past year, and we want to take some time to celebrate it together.

Join us Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30 PM in the South Worship Venue for our Church Life Celebration. We’ll spend the evening worshiping together, honoring those who have served faithfully, sharing our annual financial report, and looking back at the ways God has provided and worked through our church family.

Afterward, we’ll have dessert and time to visit with one another. We hope you’ll join us for this special evening as we celebrate what God has done and look ahead to what’s next!

Sometimes God is doing something significant in the middle of a story that looks completely ordinary.

Ruth didn’t know what was ahead. She simply took the next faithful step. And through her story, we see a God who was working through loss, uncertainty, relationships, and everyday decisions to accomplish something far greater than anyone could see at the time.

In our new series through Ruth, we’ll discover what it means to trust God when we don’t have the full picture and to recognize His faithfulness in the places we might least expect it. Because your story may not be unfolding the way you imagined. But that doesn’t mean God isn’t working.

Join us on Sunday! 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:00 AM!

Rooted Registration is open!

What would it look like to intentionally grow closer to God, build meaningful relationships, and discover His purpose for your life?

Rooted is a 9-week discipleship experience designed to help you do just that. Each week, you’ll gather with a small group to explore Scripture, share your story, and practice the 7 rhythms of a healthy spiritual life. It’s a chance to grow deeper in your faith while building genuine connection with others at River Valley.

Rooted begins September 12th and runs through November 7th. Groups meet on either Saturdays or Mondays, and you’ll be able to choose your preferred group when you register. The cost is $40 and includes all materials and two meals. Childcare is available for $50 for the entire 9 weeks, regardless of how many children you have.

If you’ve been looking for a way to take your next step in following Jesus, Rooted is a great place to start. Register at https://myrvcf.org/events

Life rarely unfolds the way we planned. Some seasons bring loss, unanswered questions, or circumstances that leave us wondering where God is in the middle of it all.

But Ruth reminds us that God is still working, even when His hand is difficult to see.
Join us for our new sermon series through Ruth as we discover a story of loyalty, redemption, unexpected hope, and the faithful providence of God.

What may look ordinary to us can be part of something far greater in His hands. Come discover what Ruth can teach us about trusting God when we can’t yet see the whole picture.

Sundays at 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:00 AM.
