This is not a business; it is our Church. Apparently, the powers that be decided to classiify us a business for some unfathomable reason. Most Primitive Baptist Churches do not solicit money to run our church. The members chip in to pay for our electricity and anything else we need. I just want anyone who is interested to know I put together this page in order to share our history. Not to be seen as a business. Thanks for letting me vent about this subject. We are happy to announce the monument has arrived! We will be holding a dedication and unveiling Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11am. The monument has been provided by the Baptist History Preservation Society with the help of Liberty Baptist Church, Callahan. The Church will also be presented with a framed certificate from the Florida Baptist Historical Society commemorating our 200 year Anniversary. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make this possible, especially Pastor Jeff Faggart and Pastor Adam Pierce with the Baptist History Preservation Society, the members of Liberty Baptist, and Mr. Donald Hepburn with the Florida Baptist Historical Society. Masks are encouraged.

Newspaper Article Pigeon Creek and Trinity Episcopal Churches both turn 200 years old in 2021.

Pigeon Creek Primitive Baptist in Boulogne; and Trinity Parish in St. Augustine, are turning 200 this year.

The Florida Times Union Newspaper ran a story on Easter Sunday about Pigeon Creek and Trinity Episicopal both turning 200 years old this year, 2021. Pigeon Creek on January 7, Trinity in October. Mark Woods, reporter, and Chris Bodor, photoghpher both did wonderful jobs.

The celebration of our 200th Anniversary and the unveiling of the monument deticated to Pigeon Creek Primitive Baptist Church history has been posponed. We had planned to hold the celebration on February 6, 2021, however due to delays in the monument's engraving we are forced to reschedule for another date. As soon as we know the new date I will let everyone know.

Unfortunately we must reschedule the celebration of our 200th Anniversary and the unveiling of our monument. We don't have a new date at this time. We are waiting for the monuments engraving to be completed. I will let everyone know as soon as we have a new date. We are all looking forward to our celebration.

We here at Pigeon Creek Primitive Baptist Church are celebrating our 200th Anniversary . Pigeon Creek is the oldest Baptist church in the state of Florida. It was founded on January 7, 1821, twenty four years before Florida was granted statehood, by Elder Isham Peacock and Flemming Bates. The Baptist History Preservation Society is dedicating a granite monument at the Church, hopefully on Feburary 6, 2021. We will also be receiving a certificate of appreciation from the Florida Baptist Historical Society that same day. Thank you to everyone who is making this celebration possiable. We would especially like to thank Pastor Jeff Faggart, Pastor Adam Pierce, and all the other members of the Baptist History Preservation group. Also, Mr. Donald Hepburn from the Florida Baptist Historical Society. Thank you all for your amazing work.
