All Souls Boulder

All Souls Boulder Join us for worship every Sunday afternoon at 4pm (beginning September 12, 2021) at 1237 Pine Street, We like old hymns and Bob Dylan.

We don’t know what church looks like for you, but at All Souls, we’re pretty okay with the idea that we’re all a beautiful mess. We climb fourteeners and drink plenty of beer. We believe in prayer and dance parties. We worship in flip-flops and cowboy boots. We know we make lots of mistakes, so we try to do lots of forgiving.

Our Sister Carmen food drive is still ongoing! Sister Carmen doesn't just need food - many of their most-needed items are household products like toiletries, baby formula, dish soap, and pain reliever medicine. Check out the link below for a full list of most-needed items. Bring your donations to church, or drop them off directly to Sister Carmen in Lafayette, just let them know you're contributing to the All Souls Food Drive. (Drop-Off Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.). The last day for the food drive will be Maundy Thursday, April 6. This year, our support is especially important, since SNAP benefits that were increased during the pandemic are ending and many households that rely on the food-assistance program will lose about $90 per month.

Be a Prodigy Ambassador! Please join us this Sunday, July 31, from 4-6pm for the Prodigy and All Souls Community Event. Please feel free to invite other potential Prodigy supporters beyond the All Souls community, particularly those who live, work and/or play in Denver, or folks who travel through Denver.

This event is an opportunity to learn about Prodigy's Expansion Campaign and how we can support it, fulfilling our role as Prodigy ambassadors. Prodigy will hear from All Souls, too, about who we are and why our partnership with Prodigy is important to us. We’ll get a tour of the new shop and we’ll share a meal - Prodigy is grilling and All Souls is bringing the potluck. Please bring a side or dessert to share!

Prodigy's new coffee shop in Denver is located at 4500 Broadway. There is free on street parking near the shop. Hope to see you there!

All Souls blood drive event is coming up on August 2nd in the Pine Street parking lot from 11am-3pm! Giving blood is a physical, concrete way that we as a community can live out our vision to love our neighbors and 'offer our whole selves' for the good of our city. Are you eligible to donate blood? Check out https://www.vitalant.org/blood-donation-requirements and https://www.vitalant.org/eligibility/additional-eligibility-requirements to find out. Fun fact: some teenagers 16+ are eligible! If you are eligible to donate, sign up here: https://donors.vitalant.org/dwp/portal/dwa/appointment/guest/phl/timeSlotsExtr?token=ehPiET14iNFV1woRedr7Fkqtjd9qMStIZFR3EpQaiSU%3D.

If you've never given blood before, please know it is completely normal to have concerns and questions. If you want to chat with someone who has given blood before about their experiences, please contact Stephanie Pease ([email protected]) or Chelsea Haag-Fernandez ([email protected]) for a no-judgement conversation answering any and all questions!

We could also use one volunteer to assist with registration on the day of the event. If you can assist for all or part of that time (even if you are not able to donate blood), please contact Stephanie or Chelsea.

At All Souls, we root our work in both TRADITION and IMAGINATION. We are trying to balance looking to the past, near and far, to guide us into the future, while also embracing creativity as we think about our place in the world today. We try to make this clear in our Sunday services, the opportunities to connect throughout the week, and in how we build partnerships to serve the world around us. This is what made Prodigy Coffeehouse] such a good fit as a partner, since they are also living out these values in the work they do.

At first glance, Prodigy seems like a typical coffee shop--they're conveniently located and serve great drinks, in a fun, colorful atmosphere. They've got all the best parts of a coffee shop. But they are also fearlessly reimagining the way the hiring and training process works. Instead of the traditional application and interview process to hire staff, marginalized young adults interested in working at Prodigy can go through their paid apprentice program. The program not only has the possibility of long-term work at the end, but also equips participants with the skills to build sustainable careers and enrich their city. As a result of this unique hiring process and their commitment to equitable pay and treatment, Prodigy has an abundance of applicants at a time when many other similar businesses are struggling to find staff.

All Souls is committed to not only supporting Prodigy Coffeehouse] in its mission, but also connecting our communities so we can learn from and encourage one another. Want to be a part of this? Mark your calendar for the July 31 Prodigy & All Souls Community Event for an opportunity to connect with Prodigy and learn about Prodigy’s Expansion Campaign. Questions? Why Prodigy Coffeehouse in Denver & All Souls Church of Boulder?

We embrace the “and” of life, welcoming the third element that is created by holding two, seemingly different values in dynamic relationship.

At All Souls, we are learning to serve with HUMILITY and COURAGE. Humility by acknowledging that this is not about us, we don’t have all the answers and need to listen to the wisdom of others. And courage: We will not be bound by fear because the spirit of God is with us as we walk with our eyes wide open to the world around. We will sacrificially serve our neighbors, our city, and stand with those at the margins so that they might be brought to the center.

Our partnership with offers us an example and a way to practice this work. It demands our whole-selves, mind and heart, body and soul. Let us stand and take this journey together, following God to the restoration of all things and the liberation of all people.

How? Start by marking your calendar for the July 31 Prodigy & All Souls Community Event for an opportunity to connect with Prodigy and learn about Prodigy’s Expansion Campaign. Questions? Email [email protected].
