✝️ 💨 🔥”Fragmented to Fellowship”🔥 💨 ✝️
📖 Acts 1:6–11 | Pastor Willie Bodrick, II

This Pentecost Sunday, Pastor Willie Bodrick, II reminded us that the Holy Spirit does not erase who we are — the Spirit reconciles what has been broken and brings fragmented people into fellowship. (Acts 2:1–21)

“Fellowship should not require assimilation.”
At Pentecost, God did not flatten culture, silence identity, or demand uniformity.

Instead, every person heard the wonders of God in their own language. The Spirit created unity without erasing difference.

In a world divided politically, racially, economically, and spiritually, the church is called to be a Spirit-filled witness that healing, understanding, and reconciliation are still possible.

🕊️ “God specializes in reconciling that which is fragmented.”

Pastor Bodrick challenged us to remember:
🙏🏾You can be Black and Christian.
✊🏾 Your identity is not a contradiction to your faith.
✊🏾 The Spirit of God moves through diverse people to accomplish divine purpose.

Pentecost reminds us that God can take fragmented pieces and make something whole again.

“Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly dove, stay right here with us…”

✨🙏🏾✝️ “Is This the Time?” ✝️🙏🏾✨

📖 Acts 1:6–11 | Pastor Willie Bodrick, II

Last Sunday, Pastor Willie Bodrick, II preached a powerful word from Acts 1:6–11 titled “Is This the Time?”

“Why are you still standing there looking into the sky?” — Acts 1:11

In a season where so many are waiting for change, praying for justice, and longing for God’s promises to be fulfilled, we were reminded that God did not call us to remain frozen in awe — but to move in purpose.

Too often we idolize spiritual moments while neglecting the work of discipleship, justice, service, and witness. The miracle was never meant to stop the movement. Jesus’ ascension was not abandonment — it was empowerment.

🔥 “You’ve got to stop staring at the miracle and start working on your purpose.”
As we prepare to celebrate Pentecost Sunday tomorrow, we invite you to join us as we gather expecting the power of the Holy Spirit to move in our lives, our church, and our community.

✨🙏🏾✝️ “Until Something Happens” ✝️🙏🏾✨

📖 2 Samuel 21:1–14 | Pastor Willie Bodrick, II

On this Mother’s Day, we honored the strength, sacrifice, and sacred witness of mothers everywhere — and we stood with Rizpah, a grieving mother who refused to move from the rock until justice came.

In a season marked by exhaustion, injustice, erasure, and attacks on truth, this word reminded us: we cannot afford to be silent, numb, or retreating.

We must:
✅ Keep praying.
✅ Keep organizing.
✅ Keep resisting.
✅ Keep speaking truth to power.
✅ Keep standing on the Rock of Jesus Christ… UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS.

“I may get tired, but I won’t quit.
I may cry sometimes, but I won’t surrender.”
Rizpah teaches us what faithful endurance looks like — staying present, staying watchful, staying committed until God moves.

Twelfth Baptist Church will continue to fight for righteousness, justice, truth, and liberation with unwavering faith.

✨🙏🏾✝️ “This Is Not God’s Plan” ✝️🙏🏾✨

📖 Isaiah 30:1–3 | Pastor Willie Bodrick, II

This Sunday, Pastor Willie Bodrick, II
reminded us of a hard but necessary truth: just because something happens does NOT mean God ordained it.

In Isaiah 30, God rebukes people who make plans without Him—seeking protection, power, and security in the wrong places. And today, we’re still tempted to do the same.

We are living in a moment where injustice is being normalized, rights are being stripped, and systems are being manipulated—even as the Supreme Court continues to weaken and gut key protections (Section 2) of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, hard-won through the sacrifice of our elders and ancestors who came before us.

But hear this clearly:
❌ Oppression is not God’s plan❌ Voter suppression is not God’s plan❌ Injustice disguised as policy is not God’s plan

God’s plan is rooted in justice, hope, and a future for ALL people.

“Woe to those who carry out plans that are not mine…” (Isaiah 30:1)

As people of faith, we are called not to accept everything as “God’s will,” but to discern, to resist evil, and to align ourselves with God’s justice.

Everything that happens is not God’s plan—but God still has a plan.

🙏🏾 A plan to restore🙏🏾 A plan to uplift🙏🏾 A plan to give hope and a future

🙏🏾✝️ “Without A Shepherd” ✝️🙏🏾

📖 Psalm 23 | Pastor Willie Bodrick, II

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…” — Psalm 23:1

This Sunday’s message, “Without A Shepherd,” reminded us of a hard truth: too many are navigating life uncovered, chasing voices that sound like direction but offer no protection.

When you’re without a shepherd:
• You chase what looks like provision but leaves you empty
• You mistake movement for progress
• You live exposed, exhausted, and unsettled

But the good news is this — we are not without a Shepherd.

God doesn’t just lead us — God MAKES us lie down in green pastures.
In a culture addicted to hustle, God commands rest.
In a world that celebrates exhaustion, God restores our souls.

Sometimes God slows you down because you’re outrunning your anointing.

✨ Rest is holy
✨ Restoration is necessary
✨ And clarity comes when your soul is full again

“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

You don’t have to figure it all out.
You don’t have to follow every voice.
You don’t have to live uncovered.

The Lord is your Shepherd. And with Him — you lack nothing.
