Herod killed John the Baptist to avoid the embarrassment of breaking a promise to a 12-year-old. This shows us the foolishness of pride. In contrast, John’s willingness to die for the sake of the truth shows us that humility is the way to follow the Lamb of God.

Join us on Sunday, August 30 for our Opening Family Mass of the year taking place at 10:30 AM at St. Pius X! Our first Faith Formation class will take place on Sunday, September 13 at the Collaborative Center. Class for grades K-6 will take place from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm, Lunch from 12:30pm - 1:00pm and Confirmation class from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

Father Charles has returned to our parishes this week from his summer vacation! Our weekday 9 AM Saturday Mass at Most Precious Blood will resume starting this weekend on August 29. All are welcome to attend!

As we look back on the summer, one of the highlights was our yearly Canobie Lake Park Trip! Thank you to all who sponsored our young people to be able to go to the park and for all our chaperones on the day of the trip! Thank you to the Boston chapter of the Knights of Columbus for providing the tickets! Thank you to Anytime Auto Glass and Boston Recovery Counseling who were our business sponsors of the trip. The feast day of Pope St. Pius X is tomorrow August 21! To celebrate the feast day, we will be having a light reception after the morning Mass at St. Pius X! Join us for Mass at 9 AM followed by the reception downstairs. All are welcome to attend!
