This Thursday, May 14 we wish you a Happy feast of the Ascension of our Lord! Join us for Mass at 9 AM at St. Anne and at 6 PM at St. Pius X! We look up with the disciples as Jesus ascends to heaven wondering what will happen next. We would do well to remember his promise from the Last Supper: “Do not let your hearts be troubled... I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.”

St. Damien Veuster took Jesus’s call to serve the poor so seriously that he moved to Hawaii and lived in a l***r colony. He ministered to the poor and the sick, loving them deeply. After eleven years, Damien contracted leprosy and died a “martyr of charity”.

St. Damien, pray for us!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers!

So many of the saints praise your hearts: hearts that nourish, protect, strengthen, and love tenderly. You are a gift from God to humanity, and we pray for you in a special way today.
