Day 2 of the PGC in Romania focused on the growth and future of several Assumptionist communities around the world.

The Council reflected on the progress being made in East Africa, as well as in the Vicariates of West Africa and Asia-Oceania, as they continue their journey toward greater autonomy. We give thanks for the growth in community life, formation, leadership, and commitment to the Assumptionist charism that has taken place in these regions.

While challenges remain, there is great hope and confidence in the future. Together, we continue to walk in a spirit of communion, discernment, and service to the mission of the Church.

Please keep these communities in your prayers as they continue to grow and respond generously to God’s call.

Day 1 of the Plenary General Council (PGC) has begun in Iași, Romania, bringing together members of the Assumptionist family from around the world in a spirit of prayer, fraternity, and discernment.

The day opened with the celebration of the Eucharist and continued with reports on the life and mission of the Congregation. Members reflected on the many blessings God continues to bestow upon the Assumption: growing vocations, active novitiates, brothers preparing for perpetual profession and Holy Orders, and the opening of new communities in different parts of the world.

The Council also took time to recognize areas where growth and renewal are needed, seeking ways to strengthen our mission and witness in service of the Church.

As the work of the PGC continues in the days ahead, we invite you to keep all participants in your prayers, that the Holy Spirit may guide their discussions and decisions for the good of the Congregation and the mission entrusted to us

On the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the faithful of Our Lady of Częstochowa Parish in Worcester gathered to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and take part in a prayerful procession through the parish grounds.

The Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Richard Maheninarivo, A.A., an Assumptionist from Madagascar serving at the Emmanuel House community of Assumption University, together with two Polish priests, Father Tomasz GĂłra (parish pastor) and Father Marcin Gazda (visiting from Poland.)

During the procession, the faithful stopped at three outdoor altars, where the Gospel was proclaimed and prayers were offered. These altars remind us that Christ’s presence is not confined to the church building but is carried into the world, blessing our neighborhoods, families, and daily lives.

United in faith and devotion to the Eucharistic Lord, we gave public witness to the mystery at the heart of our Christian life: Christ truly present among His people.

May the Eucharist continue to strengthen our communion and inspire us to live the Gospel each day. ✝️🙏

Mission Trip to Kenya 🇰🇪 | August 12–25
A vacation with purpose.
A journey that blends service, faith, and experience.
Hosted by Dr. Magalie Torres Rowe, Assumptionist volunteer supporting Assumptionist missions in Africa, this trip is more than travel — it’s an opportunity to step out of your routine and into meaningful service.
You’ll engage in family ministry, youth outreach, and community development work — directly impacting lives.
And yes, you’ll also experience the beauty of Kenya — from the Indian Ocean to a safari where lions, giraffes, elephants, and more live freely in their natural habitat.
But don’t get it twisted — the real impact is what happens after.
Those who go come back changed… and that change inspires more people to give, support, and expand the mission.
That’s how this grows.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, the Assumptionist family gathered at St. Anne–St. Patrick Parish in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, for their annual Memorial Day Mass and picnic reception.

Assumptionist priests, brothers, Lay Assumptionists, parishioners, and friends came together in a spirit of prayer, gratitude, and remembrance. The Mass, celebrated by Fr. Dennis, offered an opportunity to honor those who have gone before us while giving thanks for the many blessings shared within our community.

The day concluded with a joyful picnic reception, providing time for fellowship, friendship, and renewed connections. It was a meaningful celebration of faith, remembrance, and the strong bonds that unite the Assumptionist family.

Our Provincial, Fr. Chi Ai, A.A., recently made his canonical visit to La Frontera, bringing a true breath of fresh Spirit to our community so close to Pentecost.

During his time in El Paso, he was truly a brother among brothers. His care, attention, and joyful presence reminded us that even here at the border, we remain one body and one Assumptionist family. Through shared meals, laughter, conversations, and daily Mass celebrated in Spanish, Fr. Chi Ai brought encouragement and renewed energy to our mission and discernment as a community.

His openness was deeply felt not only by the brothers, but also by our parishioners, who warmly welcomed his presence among us. Though the visit was short, it was filled with grace, hope, and fraternity.

“Father Provincial’s visit was too short, but we hope to see him again soon!”— Br. Daniele Caglioni, A.A.

¡Gracias por visitarnos, Padre! ¡Que Dios lo bendiga!Thank you for visiting us, Father! God bless you.

¡Caminar! — Walking So That Hope Is Never Lost 🤍

Recently, members of the Assumptionist community in Mexico gathered for a pilgrimage and mission experience rooted in faith, hope, and accompaniment. Inspired by the spirit of “¡Caminar!” — to walk together — the gathering became a powerful reminder that even in difficult times, we continue walking with the hope that a better world is possible.

Through prayer, reflection, community encounters, and missionary presence, the Assumptionists accompanied people with compassion and closeness, especially those searching for hope, peace, and renewal. The pilgrimage reflected the Assumptionist mission of walking alongside communities, listening to their realities, and bringing the light of the Gospel through service and fraternity.

This journey was not simply about reaching a destination, but about strengthening faith together, supporting one another, and continuing to believe in God’s presence among His people. 🙏
